In that case is there any benefit of me running the pump right now and keeping water in the res? Or can I just keep it empty until the roots grow

well its in a 10 inch netpot so its probably gunna take a while before it reaches the res. I didnt have any water in the res though all this time, i didnt know having water under it will encourage it to find the water.

Yeah dude even i just went and bough a scale. I havnt even used it yet but it was only 10 bucks lol. You're just going to hassle yourself trying to find other ways that won't be very acurate anyways

By the way its already having the roots poke out of the rockwool cube it just hasnt reached the res yet

It's actually the oldest and biggest out of all of them. I added some water into the res just now and hooked it up to an airpump. Hopefully thatll encourage the root growth. And this plant in particular has been on a drip system getting watered 4 times a day

Not really, its just hard to tell through the picture. Look at the post I just made, it's leaves are nearly white compared to one of my other seedlings thats a nice green

Check it out now. It doesnt look very healthy to me especially compared to my other plants. The leaves are almost turning white and its just losing color You can't see it to well on camera but the color diffrence is huge between those two

Roots havnt even reached the res so most of that is ilrelevent. Check my grow journal in my signature.

My temps are great but it seems like the light might be a little to much at the moment they're sort of losing color. I've read alot of posts from people saying having there mh to close stunted growth so i moved my light back up a bit. I'd rather deal with some stretching than stunted growth...

That doesnt address my question. I can move it plenty low and still have it be 'comfortable' im asking how much is TO much light for seedlings.
