Most chillers do not have a water pump. The water pump which you are feeding the chiller with should be running 24/7. The water should always be flowing through the chiller, it just does not get cooled all the time.

I used to love my air pumps and stones but after my last grow I realized that the biggest issue is not heat or D.O.......it's contamination from the air. For that reason alone my next setup will be without an air pump. Check out my rdwc in my sig and if you have any questions feel free to ask.
