its not good when its mostly amber, well in my opinion. the more heavier stone is a 80% milky 20% amber. when too much turns amber it doesnt get you as high. well from my experience. all the "regulars" have amber crystal while danks have the milky crystal.

onjly way to tell is by the trich's look at them under a 30x microscope and if they are milky/amber opposed to clear then the plant is ready for harvest always check a plant in atleast 3 different locations to determine if its truely ready.
