Coco drain to waste in 4'X4'X6'5"

The assembly uses up 8.5 inches, but I do have 8' to ceiling. Just use a shop vac, I did this when I had the tray on the floor.

Clones flowering much quicker than from seed.

Just like DM stated the clone is more mature. Start a seed & cut a clone on the same day, there will be at least a 2wk difference (if not more) to get both to the point where you want to flip.

First Grow Ever! 9 White Widow 1000W HPS 4x4 Tent Hempy Buckets

I'm a firm believer in keeping the leaf, they take light and nutes to make food the plant can use and they store processed food to be used later, when the plants done with them it will get rid of them. But then again I have no problem during the first 3wks of 12/12 to chop off lower branches...

What strain do u reccomend that youve grown/smoked?

My favorite US breaders are Ken Estes "Grand Daddy Purp" the Bay-11 is the best mostly Sativa (80%) strain I've ever grown. The other Subcool "TGA" Just popped 9lb hammer. Some very sticky strains.

Coco drain to waste in 4'X4'X6'5"

I've got a cheap 4x4 drain tray. This is set on a pallet. I shim this up with scrap wood to be able to slide a catch tray under the pallet.

Transplanting air-rooted clones into rockwool cubes

I guess I don't understand. Are you planning on going hempy or a basic coco drain to waste? If you are planning on going into perlite or coco then skip the RW, the clones will love either medium. As you found out air rooted clones and RW just don't work.

The plant that hit the rez is going to outgrow the others so I've started a little training going to spread and flatten it out some.

While building the buckets I added a tsp of powdered AN Tarantula, and plan on using a tsp of powdered AN Piranha, both are root zone additives, they've been sitting on the shelf for over a yr and I thought I'd give em' a try. Then the same as every watering 5ml cal-mag/gal for the coco, and 8...

If you are going into straight perlite, then 2 lite waterings a day will do. You can put whatever you want in the rez, but perlite seems to be the best. Just put larger chunks around the hole, the smaller pieces will wash through in the beginning but that will stop I always wait till the...

    A Hempy Adventure in Soilponics

Time for an update. I went ahead and did some heavy pruning. Cut out all side branches and now just working with 4 mains, in a true main lining fashion. I've always left a few branches and lower nodes, just thought I'd give it a try this run. I did leave the associated fan leaf for the branch I...

C99 topped once then LST grow

I've never pre-soaked the medium with the OC in it. It's not necessary, but your plants look real happy so I can't say it's wrong. I am a believer in letting the buckets dry out, in both perlite and coco. if the medium is constantly saturated the prills will release too much food. This happened...

If you are looking for the fastest way to 12/12 then I'd go straight into the 2L. It will take at least 2wks in the cup to make enough roots to hold the perlite together. It will take longer than normal for the roots to hit the rez when starting with a plug in a 2L but it will not exceed the 2wk...

C99 topped once then LST grow

Looks really nice BF, green and healthy. How long has it been since the transplant into the 3.5gal buckets? Have the roots hit the rez? I like the idea of growing different aged plants, in different sized containers. There's a lot to be observed in one grow. Subbed and watching your grow.

    A Real K.I.S.S. Growing Method - Soilponics

I know dolomite works well when blended in soil, but soil doesn't have the the mag requirements that coco does. And I fear that in a passive hydro system that it may release way too much all at once. I've never tried it so I can't say that for sure.

    A Real K.I.S.S. Growing Method - Soilponics

I do know what you mean about the constant green when using OC+ only. But is there really any thing wrong with having green healthy plants at the time of harvest? I've never had a nute flavored harvest. Then again I do like getting a little fade at the end of the grow, that's why I've...

    A Real K.I.S.S. Growing Method - Soilponics

I've never found a controlled or time released cal product, that could be used in a hempy environment. OC+ has calcium in its list of supplemental nutes. But it's not enough to get through a coco hempy. I've heard there is bagged coco that is treated / buffered / conditioned in such a way as to...

I don't vac the bags, just seal them. I did try it once just to see, and it turned the bud into a cracker, and not in a positive way. I'm not a fan of freezing, for long term storage. It becomes way to fragile for me, and I've always wondered about the hydro part of tetrahydrocannabidinol, if...

I was busy this Sunday, had to spend 45 mins doing a transplant and getting all the food into the buckets. Now the heavy work is over. I figure I'll have to put in 15 mins of grow room work in the next wk and most of that is taking care of the seedlings for the next round. Here we go the...

So Yekke, you're saying that the fermenting will continue endlessly if moisture and temp are in the right range? I've always thought that once the sugars in stems and whats left of the leaf was consumed that the fermenting was done. And from what I've seen it seems to happen in the 2 to 3 wk...

I jarred the Maui Bay on Saturday, it was hung for 6 days humidity in office was mid 30's. Today the cheap humidity meters were reading 62 to 63% which is still high for me. I've tried the 62% cure several times and have used the 62% boveda packets, and to me this is still way too moist even...
