Hoping to get them outdoors within a couple of wks. Just had 2 nights in a row where the low wasn't in the 30's. got a short growing...

    30 gallon hempy barrell question

I occupy a space on the western slope, and with a mature plant (beat up mom), I ran an outdoor 3.5 gal bucket on the deck and kept it under 4' with bucket, and pulled over 10 oz . A bucket with a 2' dia could be epic. As far as temps, Things don't get dicey until October.

    Feroce's Coco/Hempy Perpetual Grow #2

I really like the way you use your space to experiment with growing. I think you'll learn alot from that scrog. I don't know how much space you have for breeding experiments, but I've found when working in a limited space that it's best to take a clone from all the seed pops. And grow out the...

Smartpots drain to waste with top feeders

The tray was in the mid $60 range, it's rather flimsy, so the pallet supports it well. There are more pricy but more rigid trays that could take 3 1/2" out of the shimming equation.

Coco: Tips, techniques, and the facts you will need

Very nice thread. Glad to see cal/mag mentioned in the 1st post. I needed that in my 1st run. I'm fairly new to coco, with my current run being the 5th. The previous couple of yrs were done in perlite. I've seen better results since switching to coco I'm sure it has to do with the wicking...

want to learn how to grow in coir

This rule is not always true. My water runs between 450 & 500 ppm tds and it has NO cal or mag in it. But in areas where you're living on limestone formations then most of your tds will be from cal. In my case with no cal in the water, I prep the coco in a mix that is 10 to 20ml cal-mag per gal...

Smartpots drain to waste with top feeders

I run hempy's and for collecting drainage I use a 4'x4' cheap flood tray, I've got it placed on a pallet, and have the pallet shimmed up on 4x4's to drain to the front left corner. This takes up about 7" to 8", in the photo you'll see a red tray I use to catch runoff. I've upgraded this and now...

    30 gallon hempy barrell question

The deepest hempy bucket I've used was a 5 gal which is only about 13" deep and it took a long time for the roots to hit the rez and for the growth rate to get kicking, I no longer use more than 10" of medium depth. As far as hole height even with a 3.5 gal bucket (9 1/2" of medium) the hole is...

Boveda humidpaks 62%, do you use these?

I got a free sample at the cannabis cup, and tried it on some real old, dry bud, & and it really helped. I don't think it would help in the curing process, but it would be really great for storage of cured bud.

    hps light question

Not sure of your conditions but if you're not happy with your outdoor results, I'm sure you won't be happy with the 150W results. You can't beat sun, in the light department. You might have to access your growing method, or just be patient with what's happening.

    Advanced Autoflower Training, tips, secrets

Okay I'll put in my 2 cents. I've tried 5 gal buckets in soil, and passive hydro & I have found no advantage over a 3.5 gal bucket. I've grown 100's of regulars, and have found that a final container that is taller than wide doesn't work any better than a container of equal height and width, for...

Originally I didn't think the system would work,,,, light algae, contamination, nute concentration. But your friend worked out the kinks, & thanks for retuning and reporting the results. Now that it's been established that the larger rez will work without any problems, I'd have to now say that...

You should think twice about using these products, these Emerald Triangle products have been banned in many states because of they have growth regulators in them. (kinda like steroids for plants) not even listed on their website

    First autoflower grow! [Auto Acid]

Here's an easy way to cut your FFof so you can start in the final pot. 1st FFOF is very dense and should be cut by at least 1/3 with perlite, some cut it 50%. So fill your pot to about 5" from the top with the cut down ffof, and fill up around the outside to final level leaving a 6" diameter low...

Put it in the soil now, if you haven't done so. Only bad things can happen to an exposed new tap root. I quit the wet paper towel method yrs ago.
