If you are planning on growing smaller short plants, with a short veg period, then those totes are overkill. You could easily get away with a 3gal pot/bucket/tote.

Jella, I always use Clorox to wash the buckets. For perlite, I just rinse it out on a screen with the garden hose. I've heard that coco is recyclable, but not sure of the process. I've never used any microbial additives before, but I personally would try and clean it out and start out new again...

I'm not sure where you live, but it the states, if your box is to code it's real easy to swap and connect breakers while live. Do you have one large breaker/switch at the top of your panel? Got a pic of panel?

That's a healthy looking plant, a couple of little spots are normal. FFOF is good for about 4 wks or so, and then you'll have to start feeding.

If you are talking about the potting soil, it will work but isn't the best choice. That potting soil already has nutes in it, so don't feed any other ferts if you use this. Again it's not the best npk ratio but it will grow bud.
