killer!....i love the last pic....just look at the difference in utilizing the lumens between the two runs...night and day....you will kill it with the second run, compared to the first...nice work, thanks for sharing!

This is the MAIN reason i grow in 20 gal. smarts, they are the maximum weight my back can handle moving daily for 4 solid weeks.....in and out...no dew, rain, or frost will touch my buds now till the end of the run....:-P

There has been some confusion as to building a manifold, and how much time it takes, so i am going to do a live go at it with my new F.P. mom.....she rooted 10 days ago, and i pruned her for two mains, and let her rip for 7 days, and here she is......she has been growing for 8 days....so we will call this day 9.....and today she went into her 5 gal. smartie...i will train her for 8, veg her under a t-5, and let her flower in my test cab under a 400........i have found that building a proper manifold only adds an average of 10-21 days on to the total veg cycle, but i average about 14 days......the more you Main-Line, the more you will learn exactly when the plant is ready to be pruned and bonded....one must watch the plant very closely for her to tell you when she is ready to be pushed....newbie growers don't really have this down yet, and it translates into added veg time.......also, clones take longer period.....i highly recommend starting out with a seedling, they are geneticly programmed to build a strong root mass out of the gate, (which is critical when it comes to how quickly the young plant will recover from pruning/bonding), as they are putting on early vegatative growth....a clone is a bit more tempermental..... stay tuned...i will do this with some seeds pretty soon after my numbers allow.:-P

I absolutely love those Oregon Breather pots. My fav 7 gallon for sure! Nice manifold on that little lady.

One master kush at 3 weeks in flower. Then 5 master kushes at 1 and 2 weeks and 1 og at 2 weeks in flower. All in 5 gals. GIGGIDY I can't wait... bulbs in my par t5 burnt out and a driver too. My quantum badboy is under warranty still so they are fixing it. Turned off my led. The led couldn't cover enough by itself so.. Threw my 1000 watt with too old of a bulb back up and getting a new digilux for free on fri. woot woot sort of. Ohh and had to kill the bubba. It turned out she was like cartmans mom.

its a jungle out there

DAY 10 VEG

......the first bend.....notice on the clones meristem, the left side is the dominant side that must be suppressed (to equalize the hub) with a light pinch and bend (notice fingernail marks)....try not to tear the cambium layer (inner bark), or even have the stem split longitudinally, any injury that requires the plant to heal itself will add time on to the process. We are trying to make an assymetrical axial branching pattern symmetrical again to equalize energy distribution....also notice, that all vegetation above the hub is left on the plant for now, as she needs everything she has to continue growing a substantial root system that can handle the demands of the process.....in a few days we will prune for 4, and clean her up a bit.

Nugs thank you for detailing this grow especially using a clone. With my limited space working with a clone has many advantages for me.

I do understand that the higher branch will be the dominate and that the greater the nodal stretch the greater the difference.
Now I have to ask, instead of hamstringing the dominate side to limit it's growth, which you are trying to limit to match the less dominate branch, which will never increase due to the work on the dominate. Couldn't a person with training keep the dominate side growing horz and lower to keep the canopy level and end up with slightly larger kola's on the dominate side. The symmetry would be lost, end up more like an oval than circle. Seems like a person could get a slightly larger yield without the pinch. But I'm thinking you've done this before, and have a real good reason for hamstringing that girl.
Thanks again for sharing your knowledge and experience.

What's up everyone. I just figured I'd post up some pictures of my cheese quakes early in their training. They didn't seem to mind their first cut very much. This is just three days after they were topped. I figure one or two more days and I should be able to clone the bottom branches.
