You want 23 or 42 watt cfl's, 6500k color for vegging, 2700k for flowering, at least 100 actual watts total for flowering, half that for vegging. Don't confuse actual watts (23) with equivalent watts (100) on each bulb, the equivalent watts is the advertised number.

Yes, I wouldn't expect you to get much benefit but I'm always interested in more data if you ever want to run a comparison. The one thing I'll pass along that I've learned is to try and keep the plant canopy at the same distance from the bulb instead of the same distance from the ground.

I haven't noticed a taste difference but I think the nuggs that are closer to the light are much more dense.
