    First grow ever

Looks soaked to me. The perlite color says you’ve soaked it too...and you’ve got it loaded with fert, you said. Might not work out too well. Ocean forest is your friend. Blend it with promix 60/40. Slightly more ocean forest

Bit of a disaster - heat damage

Food is to feed plant, yes, but too much is obviously not good. Like I said, I could be wrong. I’d just water until you get a bit of run off and not an actual flush. Straight water and keep temps down. What strength of fert did you use? Full? I wish I could see plant pic from before the heat...

Bit of a disaster - heat damage

Looking again and it’s been stressed for a long time. That stalk purpling is horrendous. Cold, heat, too wet, can cause this. Mg is easily locked out. Pot looks dry as a dessert. What are you feeding it? Looks like heat and too much nitrogen still. Too much nitrogen and too dry can cause a...

Bit of a disaster - heat damage

That’s heat coupled with high nitrogen. Lay off the nitrogen and of course get the temp down. You’ll be fine

    SMMFH! Droopy leaves... HELP!

Wide or deep pot? Mine are deeper. I’d go from a solo to one of them and I’d use about a cup of water first time with a pretty even spread..maybe a cup and half in slightly wider pot..maybe not quite all the way edge to edge but not straight down the middle either like some guys prefer to do...

    How often should i water/feed?

No need for cal mag now and don’t water it a bunch of times before sprout cause it can easily rot inside of seed if it’s starting to crack and you dump water on it..real wet and it’ll rot it before it cracks. Water it enough when you plant seed to last til sprout...which means just before run...

    SMMFH! Droopy leaves... HELP!

But yea...wait til droop from being too dry and pick that pot up and set it down a few dozen times to really get a memory of the weight. Lightly dig about a uwrter inch into soil to feel the moisture level...probably dry. These things will help you for next watering. Take note of pot weight each...

    SMMFH! Droopy leaves... HELP!

How wet was the soil it was already in when you transplanted? It might perk more if it’s too wet and it reaches a better moisture level/aeration in next few days. May not perk until you let it dry and then water again. Honestly, I’d let it go without watering until it starts to droop from lack...

    SMMFH! Droopy leaves... HELP!

With small seedlings in solo cups I let em dry..basically bone dry before watering. When top of soil is dry and cup feels real light..move hour finger gently into soil to make sure it’s dry a little bit down and more than just surface dry...then water but don’t soak to run off. Memorize how the...

What's going on with my GG#4

Top dressing with ocean forest isn’t going to fix that deficiency. Transplanting into several more gallons of it will help though. You want to use liquid fert or top dress with something like roots organic dry fert or epsoma dry fert mixed into some ocean forest or scratched into the existing...

What's going on with my GG#4

Fox farms is great. Ignore their schedule for feed. Ignore any companies feed schedule. They are all horrible schedules and will get you in trouble. I thought everyone knew that. May I ask which company you use?

What's going on with my GG#4

No..ph is most often not the issue with soil grows. Now.,I’ve been using ocean forest for over ten years. Takes a long time for the ph to drop and it’s not gonna be “very acidic” like you claim. I make it the last month of veg and entire flower cycle in same pot while feeding liquid and top...

What's going on with my GG#4

I disagree. I believe that people too often blame ph. Ocean forest holds up for me in ph department. You could be right though but my ph is always on and I will definitely see mg deficiency in ocean forest eventually without added feed. In good soil..ph is usually not the issue. Obsessing on ph...

What's going on with my GG#4

Agreed but depends man. Those are decent sized plants and who knows how long they’ve been in same soil..in same pots. I use ocean forest with tap water as well and magnesium and nitrogen deficiency are usually first to pop up. I grow large plants often and they can chew right through ocean...

    Time for top?

A node is basically just a set of leaves. Count each set of leaves from top to bottom on stalk including any set that may have died off. That’s how many nodes you are at. Ignore the shoots and leaves on them. Just count the leaf sets coming off you’re main stalk right now. I don’t count very...

Can you switch to 18/6 soon as the seedling pops up out of the dirt?

I like to go 24 hours for a week and half or so. It helps seedling come up stronger with less stretch.

What's going on with my GG#4

That’s false. I’ve seen lots of mg deficiencies when tap water is used. He definitely has mg deficiency. It’s seen in leaves and stalk pretty clearly to me. No need for him to worry too much. Plants look healthy otherwise ..still have half decent leaf lift..and can be easily corrected.
