I run a 200W cfl and it only burns them if they actually touch the bulb, try moving the bulb further away from the plants if you can, dont think a cooltube is really necessary but really no a cooltube would not give you more heat in the tent

you might want to start all your plants on the same shelf though otherwise the one at the bottom will stretch a lot more than the two on the shelf, then you could move it down once its already outgrown the others
