sorry trueno.. i didn't explain properly... the light and 'fart fan' (lol) are connected to one switch. when the light turns on the it activates the fan which is on som kind of 15 minute timer then it automatically turns off.. I'm not much of an electrician at all so its a no go fiddling with...

smell isn't the issue currently... i'll be purchasing a carbon filter.. trueno, i have a fart fan however it seems to only work in conjunction with the light :( ... moving the hot air at high speed surely will cool it greatly though? hmmmmmm.. maybe i should buy a portable aircon then..
