    Purple stems? Veg

Purpling can happen when the temps are too low. But as long as the plants are healthy I wouldn't worry about it.

    i know it's a controversial subject!!

"Flushing" depends on what method you're using. In soil/coco, it's running a bunch of pH balanced water (preferably RO) through the medium. In hydro/aero, it's using only plain pH balanced water with no nutes. The idea is that the plant will use up the nutes in it's leaves/roots since there...

    Reusing soil for CHEMICAL grow

I used to all the time. I would flush it with RO water, bake it at 150*F to kill any pathogens, then flush it with RO water again.

    Topping seedlings

As soon as I see the 4th node forming I top above the 2nd node. When you transplant, you may want to add some perlite to that soil too.

    i know it's a controversial subject!!

It's been a while since I've grown, but before I stopped I was no longer flushing. They seemed to pack on more weight when I didn't flush and I couldn't tell a difference in taste/smoke. Curing is more important.

    Dresser Grow - Ventilation Help

I did a 2.5' x 2.5' x 4' 400W HPS + over 100W CFL grow in so-cal in the summer on the upper floor of an apartment building with 4x 120mm pc fans (good ones). Temps regularly hit over 85*F, no AC. I don't remember my yield, but it was good... no problems (except I didn't have enough height- I...

    Too much fan

I didn't think of the carbon filter reducing some back pressure, good point. I added some vents last night. The grow room now has 3x 6" passive intakes. 2 of the 6" passive intakes in the grow tent are the exhaust of the clone/mother tent. The third 6" passive intake of the grow tent intakes...

    Too much fan

I'm not concerned about odor. If it becomes a problem I'll hook up a carbon filter to the exhaust fan (inside the grow tent). Attached is a drawing of the setup.

    Too much fan

Thanks dW and wilderb! One 6" passive intake on the clone/mother tent. The grow tent pulls from the clone tent. It sounds like I should add some more. I'll add 2 more to the grow tent since that's the one really with the problem. The mother/clone tent has negative pressure but isn't sucking...

    Should I start flowering now?

That's really up to you. If you only have the one plant, and you have the room, I would veg it for a while longer. Remember, plants about double in height after the switch.

Bought 50W COB x 2 - are they good enough?

Yes they will. Use as much light as the plants can take. 3000K is a good temp for flowering.

    Too much fan

The fan already has a built-in speed control and it's on low. Can I add another in-line?

    Too much fan

So it's been a while since I've done a grow... years now... and I'm starting another. :bigjoint: Just a couple questions. 1st question. I know the current setup I have will work just fine, but is there anything very wrong that I should be correcting? Tents: Panda film & PVC frame Each tent...
