Why not drip with coco? It's still hydro, but you can amend it like soil and then just use plain water.

It's all about keeping the right level light, co2, water and nutes. More of one should have more of the others to keep things in balance. There is a point where it's too much or anything, but you should be able to tell from looking at your plants.

It's too much light when it negatively affects your plants. Otherwise use as much light as you can.

I don't like my temps below 55*F. I've heard that cannabis stops growing under that temp. Also, you don't want your day/night temperature difference to be more than about 10*C. 76*F = 24.4*C, 52*F = 11.1*C.

Yes. Topping/fimming will force the plant to grow OUT more instead of UP more... bushier. It happens in veg.

I've had good luck with coco. There are a few ways you can do it. You can mix all the nutes in with the coco and just water with plain RO (adding nutes if/when necessary). Or you can just use coco and water with nutes every time. There are some really good soilless mixes out on the web...

That's how I used to do it. Then you can tell exactly when to transplant. I used to also punch holes throughout the clear cup. You will end up watering more, but roots do enjoy fresh air.
