Yea thats what i do, i got some rhino's going at the moment, and my 4 double o is right at 9 inches from the tops of my gurls with no stress what so ever. I keep a fan like 3 inches away from the bottom of the bulb blowing the heat up and away from the tops of my gurls...

i dont think it has ta do wit a nutrient def, and the reason why i say that is, i dont see any signs of leaf trauma other then the curled leaves. Try raising your fan so its blowing over the top of your plant. Also me myself i like ta keep my lights on temps in the mid seventy's

Looks like a light issue to me, i dont see any signs of nut burn, the lower leaves look healthy. Raise your light using the pimp hand method (back of the hand) and adjust accordingly

Yea i "C" your point on being stealthy, maybe you could place the ballast under your nightstand? Or you could move your box into the closet thatll help with the light leaks. Plus itll keep your plants from getting unwanted light during lights off..

Nice grow pit. peep i was checcing out some of your pics and i noticed that you had your ballast on the inside of your growbox. Why not rewire your light so that itll be on the outside of your box, itll cut down on the temps....
