This is my first time attempting to grow and I got the seeds from a friend, so im not really sure what strain it is. All I know about them is that the plant he grew with the same batch of seeds produced some damn good bud. Should I wait till its about 12" to 16"?

This girl, well hopefully she's a girl, has been growing for about a month and a half and is just under 12" tall. Should I start flowering or should I give it another week? I have a good 4 feet of vertical growth room.

Im using 2 100 watt compact fluorescent daylight bulbs, one for each plant, and a 40 watt fluorescent grow light. But I think my problem was that I started the seeds out in too big of pots, then transplanted them before there roots were big enough... I just started new seeds two days ago they...

The ph of my soil is around 7 pushing on 8, what do I need to do to lower it? I don't really know what any chemicals are so if you could describe your suggestion and where I can get it, it would be much appreciated.

Oh wow 4ft haha...you might wanna start the flowering stage now. I transplanted about 5 days ago, one of them did fine looks great just growing very very slowly. Its been growing for about 6 weeks now and is only about 6 inches tall lol. The other plant wilted right away and just never recovered.

Yep sounds exactly like what happened to me...The very top leafs are still alive and well, its just the lower leafs that are wilting for me. Maybe cut the lower wilting leafs off so the plant can focus on the top? I don't know, thats what i did and I have seen some slight improvement. Also maybe...

Iv just heard sand is good for drainage, also i seem to have a gnat problem, and a lot of people say to put a 1/2 inch of sand on top of the soil to kill them off. Also, I have two 30 - 40 watt fluorescent lights above them, it seems kind of dim, should I add more?

Yeah im gonna transplant this weekend into a mix of FoxFarm soil, perlite, worm castings, and sand. Also im gonna quit with the HPS for now and add more cool white/daylight fluorescent bulbs.

Thanks for the help dude, I raised the lights and there is already a difference! The little one with the burnt leaves is much bigger than it was this morning. Ill start giving them nute in a week or so.

For venting i have them in my closet with my ceiling fan going to provide good circulation, i dont have a fan in with them directly. As for temp, in my room its probably about 70ish, in my closet with the plants its probably a bit higher, 75 - 80 maybe. My soil is miracle grow organic choice so...
