This is the third time with this strain and same problems and advise? I'm leaning towards cal mag but I'm using 10ml per gal and every other strain I have ran seems just fine? Anyone?!

I use happy frog and ffof and have found that both need added perlite any where from 15-30% to avoid compaction and water uptake issues.

From my understanding using 12/12 8-10w in the same space as 18/6 - 12/12 16-18w will yield more if your not conserened about plant count as it could take 25x plants for same space as a normal grow....I would concentrate on regular cloning and LST or Scrooge techniques if you want the best bang...

Ok for starters why are you running 12/12 from seed? You should be running 24/0 or 18/6 or some where in between....I would say that the distance from your light is going to be causing heat of issues. Idk about a build up of mag but usually algae will cause ph swings locking out several nutrients...the easiest way to combat this is to remove it from the light source.

Also perlite is a must! Coco has a tendancy to get compacted and perlite prevents this also helps with drainage...stay away from vermiculite i always notice increased growth of algae and fungus when combining coco with it.

Nahh I used to use styrofoam in a raft system outside which is basically puffed pvc won't break down after hundreds of years! Personally I like the soil a lil wet when I go to transplant, say day after water day and I also moisten the top just to keep it all together. Seems to come out easier...

Honestly it looks like you lollipops it? Best advise I can give you is to focus on leaves that are blocking bud sites especially towards the top middle...

Lol I have a cheap mh that started producing hermies awhile back! That cost me quite a bit! Idk it's a toss up amount of light loss = end product, the more Expensive lights I hear work better for multi grows but the cheapos just get cheaper :s

Walmart less than $10 works extremely well! I love the fact that it keeps the highs and lows of each so I know the difference between day and night. Something I never considered controlling before using it.
