    Anybody Collect Anything?

Books. English and European History. I have over 500 and 5 or 6 could be sold for over £100 each. Also For over 5 years I had an obsession for Organised Crime books - especially Prohibition USA. I have about 350 (one that is currently being sold on Amazon for more than £1000 - not my...

    Passive V In-Line Ventilation???

I don't know, Brum. I never get any negative pressure = the tent walls are never sucked in.... I really cannot think of a convincing reason to use a THIRD RvK in my tent....??? BUT I've only been growing since mid November, last year. So I haven't had to cope with higher temperatures...

    Intake fan for light cooling

    Cubic area of room (1.2 x 2.4 x 2 = 5.76m3) x 1.25 this allows a 25% margin of error (5.76 x 1.25 = 7.2) So 7.2m3/min x 60 = 432m3/hr A Rvk 6" A1 can handle 420m3/h a RvK 6" L1 can handle 680m3/h I'd use a 6" L1 or a 8" A1 with a fan speed controller (actually I DO use an 8" A1 with a dimmer...

Get 2 x 1000w dimmable ballasts Use 2 x 600w MH (with the ballast dimmed to 600w) for VEG and 2 x 1000w HPS (with the ballast on 1000w) for FLOWER. 4.5 X 4.5ft is about perfect size for the above lights. But you'll need cool tubes attached to a 6" fan and an 8" fan and carbon filter for...

    Passive V In-Line Ventilation???

In both my tents I have the most simple of In-Line fans for inputting cool air. A PASSIVE SYSTEM that is a length of 6" ducting, that takes air from a area of cool. rich atmosphere, and delivers it to the bottom/centre of my 4 x 4' area. In the 8 x 4' I do this same technique twice. It's just a...

Can a plant get to much light?

I've bleached my centre plant. Swapped from 600w to 1000w and the growth directly beneath the ventilated hood quickly went from lush, moist, dark green to dry, papery looking, lime green. The trim leaves have lots of purple - but it looks different to 'natural' purple. Almost like scar...

valentines day massacre, a place to post your disdain for your nonfave posters :)

"I heard from a guy...." or "I read in another thread..." is often someone's way of seeking clarification for new knowledge. If it's relevant to the discussion it can be helpful (by being confirmed as correct by more experienced growers) or be exposed as incorrect (which is also helpful)...

    Updatre your technology

The spam is minimal, on RIU. Most other forums are considerably worse. Not a bad site - when one considers it's run by volunteer pot heads (inbetween making cash, family life, obsessive devotion to cultivating marijuana and many other calls on free time). Not bad at all.

    CLONE ONLY STRAIN. Please elaborate

I was reading the thread about KRYPTONITE and read that it's a 'CLONE ONLY STRAIN'. This was repeated, and discussed a little, but the only way I can imagine a 'clone only strain' is if a breeder has absolute control over it and will only part with clones. Is this about the strength of it...

    Vacuum Purge (etc) Equipment UK???

For a long time HASH was far more common than grass in UK. OIL, however, is (and has always been) a rarity. In 25 years I've had oil twice. It's strength and rarity command high prices.

    Vacuum Purge (etc) Equipment UK???

I was planning on saving any and all trim. The fan leaves were going for compost so were the stems....but now you've got me thinking. Implied in certain threads - Wax, shatter and butter (or 'budder') are different phases of the same process?

    Vacuum Purge (etc) Equipment UK???

My 9 x 30" Plants will be fully mature in the next month (Today is Bud Day 44). When ready I want to take the best buds for drying and curing. [B]WHICH OTHER PARTS ARE GOOD FOR MAKING OIL? If HASH can be salvaged by simply using ice, cold water and filters (or Bubble Bags, why do people bother...

    Topping HELP!!!!

I've just topped 5 (of my 23 clones) and labelled them: "TOPPED 13/2" so I will know which they are, no matter what. I took off the top, just above the very last side stem (or node). I get the impression that this (and many other) job would be easier with a seedling than a clone cutting.

    Topping HELP!!!!

The "cotyledons....1 blade leaf....3 blade leaf...." are not relevant as I am growing CLONES. Light penetration isn't an issue. I have a Lumatek 1000w dimmable and 3 x (budget) 600w (2xmaxibright and a Lumii). Tomorrow I will do TOPPING for the very first time ...and I'll take pics for...
