First Time TRICH SPOTTING - WHAT A THRILL!!!

MR SUNSHINE What exactly is the CALYX??? I have this Greg Green 'Grow Bible' (which devotes about 65 pages to explaining the nature of light) but leaves many other things completely neglected. (Like what level of EC/CF/PPM TDL is suitable for very young plants). ZUBEY91 I want to...

First Time TRICH SPOTTING - WHAT A THRILL!!!

My 9 Plants are 39Days into Flower. One of the top colas is causing it's main stem to bend (A problem that could be considered better than most!) and the trim leaves sparkle like diamonds when they reflect the light. A few days ago I had to reach through them, to remove a few dead fan...

You don't use an inline fan (for extraction ?)

More confused the more reading I do

For me, in the UK at this time of year, the added HEAT is an advantage. I have to spend for energy to CREATE EXTRA HEAT during lights out. Come the summer months this will change and keeping on top of heat build up will be an issue. LED's are defo the future but, at the present, there's...

LED NOVICE ASKS - "What to SEEK and AVOID in a 1st LED???"

Over the last 6 weeks I have read VOLUMES of information concerning LED panels. Unfortunately much of the info has been varied greatly or even been an outright contradiction to other info. For example - When I tried to find out what LED panel would best replace a 600w HID in a 4 x 4ft tent...

DAY 37 FLOWER - COLA causing BENDY STEM.

I think they have at least 3 more weeks to go....? The pistils are mostly white, still. It's my first crop so I am quite proud and, on the day before I flipped to FLOWER, I took 24 cuttings. 23of which are now on DAY 8 of 18/6 VEG. When the above crop finishes flowering the VEG CLONES...

1000 watt HID for vegging, or T5's?

As of NOW the heat is beneficial and, without it, I would need to use energy on additional heating (in fact I already do use a 2ft, 120w tubular heater - during the 1 hours of darkness in my FLOWER tent) By Mid-March I am quite sure I will use more energy to remove the heat THAN TO INCREASE...

DAY 37 FLOWER - COLA causing BENDY STEM.

Here are 3 pictures of the plant on it's 37th DAY of FLOWER (after 48 DAYS of VEG) The stem is clearly bending but I am unsure if it bends under the weight of the main top cola or simply aims for better light....??? I suppose I'd better use some kind of support. I don't want to get to...

Dead? Accidentally Uprooted 6 Day Old Clone....

TOTAL RECOVERY!!! I've just prepared an individual humidity dome (I cut the top off a plastic pop bottle - incidentally, I cut off too much and left the dome too short). and I went to take a photo of the drooping clone and another of it with the dome over it. It appears to be 99%...

    Rockwool users

8 days ago I potted 23 cuttings (in rooting sponges) into pots for VEGGING 21 went into Clay Pebbles 2 went into 6"cubed BLOCKS OF ROCKWOOL. I put pebbles around the edges - to keep the blocks more firm. I have the 21 in pebbles being fed/watered with a Wilma irrigation system, on a...

1000 watt HID for vegging, or T5's?

What type of differences is there in the RESULTS of VEGGING with T5/CFL's VERSES HPS??? For me, at this time of year, the extra heat from HID's is actually a positive thing. Without it, I would have to spend more to keep the room warmer. In the Spring/Summer months this will no doubt change.

Dead? Accidentally Uprooted 6 Day Old Clone....

CHARFACE I can use a plastic bag but wouldn't the top half of a 2lt soda pop bottle be better...??? BUBBA I'll post a picture within the next few hours.

Dead? Accidentally Uprooted 6 Day Old Clone....

I accidentally uprooted my best clone! It was 6 days into 18/6 Veg in 6.5lt Clay Pebble When it was lifted out, the original Cutting rooting sponge had about 15 clay pebbles stuck to it. I immediately packed it back into the pebbles and gave it water. That was 2 days ago. Yesterday...

How many first timers overfeed and cause nute burn...? I know I did... and I read a lot of first timers posts that describe it. It's a steep learning curve - the first grow.

    First time grower.. Need info

Sometimes purple shows due to low temperatures - but growers deliberately drop the temps to provoke the colour showing. Other times - and I'd guess this applies to yours (but I don't know the strain) - the purple is part of the plants genetics. Prune off those burnt leaves. Everything else...

Obstruction - The right's last option

They're both pretty shitty..... The Dems are ashamed of their shit. Whilst the REPS seem to take pride in their shittiness. Sarah Palin and Mitt Romney.....? They promote the shittest of the shit! Is it some Survival of the Shittest type thing???

It could be a pistil or a flake of dandruff, a speck of dust, a fragment dried skin.... IT LITERALLY COULD BE ANYTHING. MAN!

Is light leakage a concern from day one?

It becomes more of an issue during FLOWER when 12 hours of darkness is needed. A flash of light confuses the flowering plants. I go so far as to have a green coloured bulb in the lightshade - so mistakes are easier to avoid.
