    Cxb3500 build for 3x3

These are decent fans with good reviews. Have you thought about those two extra cobs yet? It might be fun to try put some 2700k or 6500k to supplement your 3500k crees.

Depending on the grower it should beat the 1000w. 800w at 56% efficiency is 448w of light from multiple sources and 352w of heat. The 1000w hps I'm going to guess is 32% efficient (I don't really know) and will make 320w worth of light from one source and 680w of heat. Judging by those numbers...

Cob is a loose definition. The efficiency changes depending on the cob and how hard it is driven. Yes, 800w of cob could could beat a 1000w but 500w could probably do it too if under driven. It all depends on the build.

Just because they are dealing with a greater space doesn't mean that warehouse grows wouldn't benefit the exact same as a small grow would from led lighting. The efficiency doesnt change with a larger footprint. In fact, the potential to produce more per sq ft is there if you have the capital.

Connecting wire to Ideal COB holder 50-2303CR

Either hole is fine (not what she said) It's just held in by tension. The second hole is for running multiple leds in parallel

A 5x9 space is a two dimensional measurement. If the space is 8 ft tall you could run two 4 foot tall sections with 45 50w cxb-3590 in each section. At 1gpw you could theoretically produce 10 pounds in that foot print.

    Mars Hydro 1600W LED advice?

It will "bleach" the plant if it's to close. Shows up as little white/discolored spots on the leaves closest to they light. If you are happy with the growth rate than you probably have it right. The "goldilocks zone" will not be the same for every setup or strain. Run them as close as you can...

    Mars Hydro 1600W LED advice?

Its totally up to your plants how close you put them. Too close and it will discolor them, too far and they wont receive as much light. Constantly changing through the growth stage

Out of date leds will still perfrom the same as they did the day they were bought. Cant say that about an hps bulb

You dont understand, efficiency tells you how much LIGHT PER WATT you get from a light source. Its like trying to decide which car will win a race with out knowing what engine each car has. Efficiency is horsepower not mpg

    Slappy's Perpetual LED Hack Discussion

You may want to look into some grommets for those holes. At the least, check the wire casing from time to time to make sure it doesn't wear through. The black plastic lining shown a couple posts back could be used as well.

Mars II LED now with Veg/Bloom switches

I wouldn't go as far as recommending them for their uv output. It is there but the penalty in efficiency is very large for the uv benefit. The uv-b is virtually non-existent in standard cfls
