    Keeping a clean environment

I'm new to growing and am using soil pots just straight on black plastic sheeting on the ground. I notice this is messy and can lead to bugs and the runoff can lead to mold. Should I be putting my pots on a hydro table and sucking out excess runoff with a wetvac? Is that what most people do?

    Kelp Foliar Spray Recipe?

Why do you need to wait 3-4 weeks to use it? Cant you just brew kelp meal in AACT brewer for a day or 2? @greasemonkeymann, any input on this recipe? I also have the crab shell and oystershell. I got ful-humex mix from Bioag, but i know that product should be used extremely sparingly, cause...

    Kelp Foliar Spray Recipe?

Oh, i may have made a mistake. I just read what fulvex is and it sounds like its different than humic and fulvic acid. Not sure. Can anyone confirm this? It says it's magnesium sulfate, which is definitely not humic or fulvic, so i won't be putting humic into my foliar spray. Sounds like...

    Seedling soil recipe

Okay guys, I ended up taking the advice by my hydro store guy and after me grilling him 21 questions, he convinced me that Roots 707 is acceptable to put rooted clones in. I just put them in 2 nights ago. I'll keep you guys updated on how that goes.

    Seedling soil recipe

guys, with the promix, do i need to add extra perlite and vermiculite? I am traumatized with not doing so with my soil the last two rounds and ended up having to toss the dirt and plants. I have a soil bin in the backyard, so it should be getting used eventually, but i think i'll have to add...

    Seedling soil recipe

On a budget. Trying to fill one gallons with a proper medium for my well rooted clones. I'm going to the hydro store tomorrow to buy perlite and vermiculite. Can I thereafter, head to home depot and buy their seed starter and mix all three with some EWC? I messed up two rounds of veggong plants...

Organic cloning? How do you clone?

No way! I was thinking of doing that for my next batch of clones I need to cut since I threw away my pH probe cause I'm sire it was bad. I always soak my rooting plugs in 5.5 pH water and use that water for my tray. But since I don't have a probe right now, I was wondering if I could just bubble...

Is Kellogg Raised Bed an advisable soil base?

I recently used Kellogg Raised Bed for about 40 babies and didnt realize that I needed to add a ton of perlite to it. The result was a swampy mess and instead, I created a bug farm. I stopped watering for over a week and they were still soaked. Fungus gnats, springtails, root aphids and even...

I just read on their website that this stuff will kill beneficial colonies. So that's a no-go.

Fungus Gnats: Can i Use SM90 in organic Applications?

I have been advised that SM90 as a root drench is advisable for fungus gnats. Also, by the sounds of this post i saw, this guy seems confident that it will not kill the beneficials in the soil food web. But, as any organic gardener, i'm skeptical of bottled toxic junk. What d'yall organics...

Tiny white bugs in top soil jumping around. Been seems ineffective.

I also have root aphids. Needless to say, I'm using a shit ton of perlite and even going to pur down a layer of large chunk perlite at the bottom of each 5 gallon for drainage.

Tiny white bugs in top soil jumping around. Been seems ineffective.

OMG, i figured it out. I used Kellogg Raised Bed and i didnt mix any perlite in it. My pots are heavy as hell, all boggy swampy nastiness. A bugs heaven. I'm basically no longer growing weed anymore; instead, i'm raising a bug farm.

    Distinction between Compost and Humus

Yeah, most humans would rather turn to stuff that's going to destroy the world, just so they can have piece of mind. Well we got news for the rest of the humans. Nature is better at replicating itself than science is at mimicking nature.
