I like both for veg too. I have the 2 foot htg t5 fisture, 10k lumens and a place for 3 cfls as perimeter light. I like to put warm lights for the cfl's and the cool white forthe t5's to get a bit broader spectrum.

I meant veg, how long were you going to veg? If it starts producing more then just hairs you probably have autoflower genes. If that is the case you cant really clone.

Do you have more side growth below the branches you want to top and are those branches able to be tied down or bent slightly? If there is more growth below and you have some flex in your branches you can tie those leading shoots down (Try to get the top below the level of the growth below it)...
