Dude i am so glad i found this thread! I germinated barneys farm red diesel on 4-22 and am growing in hydro and soil for comparison reasons and also so i can use the soil red d for a mum! heres a comparison pic between the two. Will keep an eye on this thread closely..subscribed!

Yea i have a ph and tds pen and it really isnt too much work. The nutes are pricey, but you should be able to get your money back if doing it right.

I got them for free too, they are currently in red cups and are about 4 inches high. I was dissapointed at how weak looking they are so far mainly the leaves. I can already tell it is going to be more succeptable to stress than my other strains. All 5 germinated though!!

You dont need that much lighting this early. All your gonna do is light your room and add a few bucks to the bill. I use one 30 watt cfl for each plant for the first 3 weeks or so or until the plant is atleast 5 or 6 inches tall.

Are you giving them nutes?If so, how much? Whats your lighting? How close is it to the plants? How hot is your heat pad getting? You might need a layer or two inbetween the rockwool and heat pad..

i use botanicare cal mag plus along with my other pure blend grow, bloom, and liquid karma- thats an example of a full line of nutes! (Cal mag is worth it if you dont want to boil epsom salt and what not).

A rule of thumb i heard is 3 times the size when put into 12/12..Since its hydro it might be a bit more than that. also depends on how close your light it to the tops.

Well since you are cramped on space, i wouldnt top more than once or twice. One main cola will require a bit more height than say 2 or 4 if you get what im saying. If i were you, i would top in a week, veg for 1 or 2 weeks and than flower. Remember that you CAN prune if it gets too big but you...

Good rule of thumb is plants triple in size from the size just before flowering with good nutes and little stress. I would wait 2-3 weeks and then flower if time or space is an issue. If it is an issue than you shouldnt have a problem guessing when to start flowering. What are you growing in?
