Is there a reason why you went with 4 instead of 6? Was it for growing room, or possibly entangled...

    Yes i have heard of red/purple etc cfl's..yes they probably will but only during flowering since they are a redder spectrum..They def cant hurt it

    lol whoever said coconut shells couldnt be used as cfl holders was wrong..haha the tape and bungie cord are temporary..Its also Eco-friendly :mrgreen:

    Try taking the temp just above the top of the plants...A 600 watt light 12 inches from the plant might be the problem..Cant help you much more on the hydro system if it's the cause of your ph problem..I stick with soil and coco :)

    Might i suggest a bit more pruning especially on the lower leaves? those buds are looking very good though man props to you for your first grow.. If you plan on many more grows in the future, consider buying a couple cfl's and a splitter to use the first few weeks of vegging or even for clones...

    If you dont want them to get too big then start flowering a bit earlier than suggested. That would be one way to control the plant size..
