Drying in 70% humidity? Can I use a regular household fridge instead?

It would be a great investment. Dehumidifiers are one of the best pieces of equipment to have around.

F3 Valley Ice. (Matanuska x SFV OG)

Its the only soil I use indoors. Ive tried lots of different soils, and most work just fine. I like Black Gold because its comes without fertilizers 0.5-0-0. It also holds water really effectively. Im experimenting with the addition of a little bit of coco to see if it helps prevent the dry top...

Do you live in an area that is known for a certain strain? Photoperiod only, please*

San Fernando Valley OG was super popular in Southern California.

4 days in, the clones are starting to grow. Topped them and will focus on training 4-6 branches per plant. Will flip to 12/12 as soon as canopy fills up. Both lights heat room to 80f and rh to 44. I placed a container full of water in there to raise rh, but I will need to add one more water...

Stress your plant, increase terpenes & thc

@PenisBuilt I have bookmarked your response. I will dive deeper into everything you have mentioned. Some of those diagrams are beyond me, at this very moment. A healthy plant produces excellent flowers. With great genetics, even better. Im pretty sure this is common sense. No one is debating...

The MTF is pushing darker pink pistils I also collected some of the seeds. There is literally hundreds of seeds on just one lower branch. I will end up with thousands of seeds all together, from the 8 plants.

Stress your plant, increase terpenes & thc

These were dense. Plants have very complex ways of communicating. Its really fascinating that seedlings that dont touch each other will focus on root growth, and seedlings that do touch will direct energy to above ground growth. Unless I misunderstood the info on that first link. I wonder if...

Stress your plant, increase terpenes & thc

That was a dense read but very informative. Thanks for sharing. Chitin will cause the plant to produce chitin degrading enzymes to digest fungal cell walls, thus becoming more resistant to fungal infections. Is there any data suggesting that chitin helps prevent powder mildew? Technically, it...

Stress your plant, increase terpenes & thc

I wonder if simply shaking the plant once a day would be enough to stress it? Ive been doing that to the plants in the greenhouse, after I spray them down with baking soda water as a mildew preventative.

Stress your plant, increase terpenes & thc

I imagine that our saliva would be noticable to a plant, since it full of hundreds of millions of bacteria per millimeter! I freaking hate slugs. They are abundant where I live.

Im going to get some pet caterpillars and let them munch on the leaves of one plant, under my supervison. Lol

Stress your plant, increase terpenes & thc

Really cool stuff. There are many things to manipulate. I imagine each plant or strain will have a different threshold for stress. Getting good at noticing where that sweet spot is will certainly require some time and experience. Sending flower to a lab to have it tested will be imperative...

Stress your plant, increase terpenes & thc

This was enlightening. The right stressors in a controlled fashion will improve the quality of bud. Genetics is still the most important factor. In what ways have you deliberately stressed your plant? What stage? Im going to experiment with ice water, for my indoor plants. My plants in the...
