Correct, & why the soil keeps getting better with age. Most people will do a slight re amend after each cycle like @FermentFred said

The short answer is they will start working within a few days, however it could take months to get a full blown network

Do you use both a rice IMO & potato JMS for more diversity? Or do you just stick with the JMS?

I’m pretty sure the water just magnified the light & it caused it to burn the plant (think magnifying glass and ant). It’s happened to me in the past

When you added rice how much did you add? Also, did you have any problems with critters when you did this, specifically mice? Did it get funky after a while?

Just found this soil microbe test kit, anyone using something like this❓ Does it do a decent job❓ For $150 might give it a try, could definitely be useful to tell you when to re inoculate that way your not overdoing it & throwing $ down the drain...

That’s a great idea, the closest IMO you can possibly get for the plants. They say the closest IMO is the best, however diversity is also key, so maybe I’ll try to capture an IMO when I’m on vacation as well and mix the 2 together. Yea, I’m running multiple different styles in different tents...
