2 weeks since the flip. Trying to get a level canopy and make the most use of the light... but a lot of the light is being wasted. I just went back upstairs and removed the black trays, that'll give a bit more reflected light, but doubt it makes much of a difference. GSC finally showed female...

Well, this seems to be a no-go. Ran it this morning for about 30-45 minutes. Went to move some things around, and the housings on the 2 LEDs were too hot to touch... actually burnt myself a bit. In an enclosed space? Nope. I'll go pick up a couple more CFLs.

I found a couple 13w and one 23w CFL. I may have another 23w hidden away somewhere, but I kind of doubt it, mostly switched to LED. Picked up 3 of those socket splitters. So I have it rigged at 26w LED (2x13w) plus 36w CFL (1x13w + 1x23w) on a clip-on work light. 62 total combined watts...

Are two 13w 2700k Phillip LED bulbs enough to convince a male to throw pollen? Thinking about sticking it in a trash can. Wantt tocollect some pollen, but rather not spend too much more money, or seed my whole tent.

That's about what it's at now. It was a bit closer before the LST on the SB. I had them higher in veg while I was working out the problems I was having. I'll dial it in a bit more once the stretch is over (which I think it mostly is).

The one in the pics is the Cool Grows tent. Mars isn't set up yet... but it does have white poles.

This Peak Seeds BC Skunk Berry just showed female yesterday. One of the tent mates showed male. So I LSTed it today to make better use of the light (single QB288 v2 3000k in a 2x2' tent). Flipped to 12/12 on 4/24. Good idea or bad idea? All I did was tie the limbs down, so could just untie...

Eventful overnight. Pistils on the SB: Balls on the TS: Tent looking a bit sad: I tied down the SB (back) a bit to try to LST it to fill up more of the space... not sure if that's a good idea. It's a pretty even canopy with them not tied down, but a fair amount of empty space...

Gave a light feeding yesterday with AN Bloom. Looking good and happy today. The good news is that the SB (back right) is a girl. Found two lovely white pistils this morning. Bad news is that i think i jumped the gun declaring them both Fem. TS (back left) preflowers seem to be forming on...

Ugh... the waiting is the hardest part. Not even waiting for them to finish... just to show sex. Both the TS and the SB are showing lots of female looking preflowers, but no pistols yet. None from the GSC yet either. But I'm feeling pretty sure that I got a bit lucky in both of the Peak seeds...

HLG has the 4000k QB288 v1 with heat sink for $66. Driver is about $45. A few odds and ends to put it all together around $15 (if you use a repurposed power cord). ~$125 plus shipping. Hard to beat. I just built the 5000k for a veg light this way (should have gotten the 4000).

Made the flip. Today's the first day of 12/12. Running a far red EOD treatment with 2x HLG QB 3 Far Red. hung out at lights off to make sure it all worked. At the moment I have the reds coming on 5 minutes before the main light cuts, and staying for 10 minutes after. I could probably sync...

The reason the female in the book doesn't look like its bulging, and the male does, is primarily because of the lighting. The female pic is over exposed and appears to be taken with a flash, washing out the shadows. The male pic is a better exposure, and the shadows are more accentuated.

About to switch to flower. Cleaned them up a bit, bent the GSC over to try to encourage a more even canopy, and get it more in the sweet spot of the light. Possible ball on TS (but too soon to tell for sure):
