the 1818's are a solid option though

    Advice on a cob build

Yea I had been looking at the 1212's and 1818's. I kinda wanted to stick with 36v chips for compatability later on if I wanted to just swap them out for a newer chip or something. The 1818's do look nice though. Looking at vero again, I can't find a single configuration that will fit on a...

    Advice on a cob build

@Jimmyclone42 have you actually tested this set up with a multimeter?? Or anyone? I was all readybto start ordering the parts for my build here on monday... and then I was listening to @Growmau5 live show on sat. morning and boom... they start talking about vero29 on the 240-1750 driver and both...

See pics..Nutrients?? Lack of watering?? Too close to lights??

Bro, get a pH meter asap. I used a shitty $15 one off amazon for over a year before getting my bluelab one just recently. Only because the other started to crap out on me. They are accurate enough and far better than nothing. Id probably recommend doing a major flush (Id flush with some...

Help don't know what deficiencies I have

Yea bro it looks like you got a few things going on there. Id agree with the others. How are you measuring ph? "5.5-6.5" tells me your probably not taking readings before watering. Ph cam really fuck with your plants dude. Id recommend doing a flush with ph 6.1-6.5 water. I always water/feed...

    Advice on a cob build

Right on brotha, thanks for confirming that for me. I think that will be my best bet to get started here and Im sure Ill be playing around with other builds as I go. Im already thinking of a cheap citi build for veg :bigjoint: Looking good! Whats that box in the center? A junction or a hobby...

    Advice on a cob build

Looking at vero29, on the charts that Ive managed to find scattered around the interwebs, they seem to be pretty damn close to 3590 at ~1400ma-2100mA and them vero looks like it kind of pulls ahead above that. Then cree pulls ahead below 1400ish, but really not by much. Maybe ~100lu or so at any...

    Advice on a cob build

Wow, according to that driver calculator the vero29 would fit perct on the 240-1750 driver at exactly 143v and 250.25w lol. I guess these don't pull as much power as the 1212's. Does that make them more efficient?

    Advice on a cob build

So then you actually get more light at lower currents? Depending on chip obviously. I know some are more efficient at different currents so its just a matter of finding the optimal current for the chip you want tongo with? Ok cool, so I guess final question: between the vero29 and the 1212 at...

I saw that thanks man! Maybe they have the wrong data sheet linked? It looked like those numbers were gen6. Too tired to go look right now. It seems like a lot of people really like vero29's. Would those get me better numbers on the same set up (@1750ma)?

    Advice on a cob build

Ok, so this may be an incredibly dumb question, and Im sure Im misunderstanding something here. 200w is 200w right? I mean if Im running 160lm/w on 200w vs. 110lm/w on 200w... obviosuly 160x200=32000lm and the is 22000lm. Again, Im probably missing something. Idk, maybe going something like 10...

    Advice on a cob build

Thats awesome man thanks! Some of those numbers seem low though... 110lm/w, 1.58 umols/w, 32% efficiency? Those seem low just based on numbers Ive been seeing around. I though I wanted around 1.8umol/w or even, 140+lm/w... these are roughly the numbers Ive been lead to belive are considered...

    Advice on a cob build

Oh thanks dude! Thats looks like the gen6 too and in 3500k, nice. Is this site legit? Anyone?

    Advice on a cob build

Ohhh derp... I was only looking at the 3500k gen 6. I could do the 3000k but its not gen6. The gen 6 looks slightly better on the data sheet, but for a $12 chip you can't be that picky huh? Lol. So yea, it looks like I should I should stick with the 36v definitely because I just know Im going...

    DHP Presents Citizen Cob 1812 3500k 80CRI Vs 1812 3500k 90 CRI

Haha good Im not alone. Yes... I have another thread. Ive been outed. I think the problem is that Im waiting on my tax return, so I can't actually go for anything at the moment. This gives my plenty of time to theory craft the shit ot of this. Once I have money in hand Ill have to just choose...

    Advice on a cob build

1400ma or even 1300 would still be putting out a lot of light on those big 1818's. The numbers seem to be comparable to the major 36v chips (3590, 1212, vero29), around 1050ma, so Id Imagine 6 of those running at that current would be pretty damn bright. My area is only 4x5... maybe even keeping...

    Advice on a cob build

Lol yea I figured out that was 1300ma not 1600 after I posted that I looked at the driver specs again. Math... its not a strong suit. Someone on another thread seems to think the 4 1212's on the 240-1750 wont work well because they would be running at 37.5v and would be 150v and the max fv on...

    DHP Presents Citizen Cob 1812 3500k 80CRI Vs 1812 3500k 90 CRI

I know Im being ridiculous man. I really do. Im just being obsessive trying to find the best. I was looking at those 1812's today and they seem like a good one too. Im sure all of these are fairly close and your right, its not going to drastically effect my grow. I just hate finding something...
