    Advice on a cob build

Hmm this is sounding more enticing by the minute. Its a good way to get a lot of light for pretty cheap. He says they will pull 75.3W each. Heres the link if you want to take a look...

    DHP Presents Citizen Cob 1812 3500k 80CRI Vs 1812 3500k 90 CRI

Id prefer to stick with the 240... or 185 and run them at 1400ma just for because they are a bit cheaper. I have been looking at vero but they are $30 each. I can do it, but Id prefer to go cheaper if I can get similar output. @thetr33man: Ive actually been lookig at the 185-48A to run with...

    DHP Presents Citizen Cob 1812 3500k 80CRI Vs 1812 3500k 90 CRI

Ok I see, thanks. A little more wattage than I wanted to run, and those drivers are a bit more, but its worth considering. Ive been noticing it looks like most places are out of the 1212's anyways so I might have to go with vero29 or 1818's.

Thats some very cool info! Thank you. So maybe it might be a good idea to go active cooling just in case? Or will it be fine on those sst-x Ive been eyeballing? Im really considering this. With that driver they would be just around 1600ma correct? Thats a lot of light.

    DHP Presents Citizen Cob 1812 3500k 80CRI Vs 1812 3500k 90 CRI

So the fv on the 320-1750 is 183v, if what Dawg says is true about them drawing 37.5 @ 1750, 5 would be 187.5v which would bring me to the same issue no? So it CAN, but its not a good idea?

Thats really weird man, while I was figuring out my nectar feedings I ended up severely malnourishing my pb breath from under feeding. I finally got it dialed in, but they were not looking so hot for a while there. Anyways the love triangles were happy as could be the entire time, and they were...

Yea Ive read that. I was more looking for opinions from those here who have done it or just know more about this stuff than I do. Thanks though.

    Advice on a cob build

Gonna bump this up woth another question here. How do people feel about wiring in parallel? I saw a cool build on reddit ising 3 citi 1818's on a hlg-185-48A running them at ~75w each... which is what? About 1600ma? That seems like it would pump out some major light. I just saw growmau5 mention...

    DHP Presents Citizen Cob 1812 3500k 80CRI Vs 1812 3500k 90 CRI

I was thinking about doing 2 bars of 5 1212's each on 2 240-1400's as well, but it seemed like Incould get the best output with 1750. Does efficiency take a dive at 1750? Im on a phone so I cant open the sims unfortunately, so Im just kind of going off of the numbers others have posted. Like I...

    DHP Presents Citizen Cob 1812 3500k 80CRI Vs 1812 3500k 90 CRI

Damn those 1818's would put out some major photons at 1400ma. Those 320 drivers are just pricey though thats why I wanted to go with 185's or 240's. Ill have to check into that build though.

    DHP Presents Citizen Cob 1812 3500k 80CRI Vs 1812 3500k 90 CRI

How would these 1212's do @ 1750ma? Im debating between these, 1818's @1050ma or vero29. I haven't seen anyone running these at that current yet though. Looks great dude!

Yea In not sure what they are. There was a similar drop box link that must have been a smaller file size or something because it opened for me... but not the ones I needed... figures right? Lol

    Advice on a cob build

It looks like someone made a spreadsheet with different currents for vero, cree, and citizen at different currents, but neither will open... again. Lol. If these are what I think they are, would someone mind maybe taking a screen shot or something so I can see it? Hate having to do everything on...

    Advice on a cob build

Thats kinda what I was thinking for total. Ill most likely complete this run with the cmh/led and plan to replace the 315 for the next cycle. Oh ok that makes sense. Id love to run the citi & vero calculators but they wont open on my phone, so Im kind of stuck with trying to find ones that...

    Advice on a cob build

So why 1.2a? Is that just for efficiency? Anyone know what would be considered th "optimal" current is for these model chips? Is 1750 too much for that 1212? Am I gonna have issues cooling that? I haven't really seen anyone running those over 1400ma. I guess my only issue with the 1818 is the...

    Advice on a cob build

@visajoe1 @verticalgrow thabks for the advice. Im kind of leaning toward the 1212's, but the 1818's do sound nice as well. I feel ill get more coverage with the 1212's, but then again the space is so small and it will be reflective, so Im not so sure that really matters in my case. Those 1818's...

    Advice on a cob build

Are the vero29 worth twice as much as the citi 1212? I can get the 1212 for around $14 each, and the vero29 are $30 each with holder/reflectors. Also, I saw someone mention that they wanted to run 4 citi 1818's on a 240-1050 driver and use a 5th chip, a citi 1212 to fill out the rest of the...

    Advice on a cob build

hey guys, so im getting ready to build a cob system here in the next few weeks, and need a little advice. Ive been obsessing over data sheets, reading countless posts and looking at numbers for various currents, and talking to several people. It seems like everyone tends to favor one or another...
