    Led build~ 2' heatsink 200w

Those tin snips I showed earlier are no joke, they'll cut a finger off.. careful.. Thanks.. But congratulate me when it works.. Haha You'd like my sheet bender even better. Stick the sheet between the heatsink fins and bend away

    Led build~ 2' heatsink 200w

One another design note.. Anyone thats used these cobs probably knows the beam is really strong in the middle at a somewhat narrow angle. Will be giving these angelina lens inserts a try. The thinking is it will even out the beam intensity before leaving the reflector. They were available at...

Slight delay, project is undergoing design chaos Theres room for my arduino.... Plugged it in and I'm liking the features, realllly liking them. This darn thing even has temp readings built in the software. Won't be using that, but I will be attempting to get everything dimmed by this...

    Led build~ 2' heatsink 200w

Pretty sure a rigid holder only needs 2 screws to provide even pressure over the cob, shouldn't be a problem.. I posted a pic earlier of a perforated sheet option as a cover instead of solid sheet. It would work, and is just as easy to bend a cover, but I prefer the solid sheet. There should...

Got a little done..need some little self tapping machine screws to hold the wire clips and 12v psu. Just screw right into the sheet, holds secure enough for me. Used tin snips to cut a pice of zinc plated sheet metal. Cuts pretty easy just a little hard to go perfectly straight, but it gets it...

my plan for a vero 29 setup

Sounds like a job for a 10" wide heatsink? I've run 400w dissipation cxas on a 10" x 24" and they do run pretty cool, but they were at a bit more efficient a current. So your looking at 300w...I'd go 10" or maybe the 7" from heatsink usa at the smallest. But, I'm sure supe can calculate that...

    Led build~ 2' heatsink 200w

Check out supras reflector thread.. About page 4 sds has some nice links to computer modeling programs for reflectors Sounds like you have a good idea already. Just use a heatsink that will spread the cobs as much as possible and possibly use reflectors to increase the intensity. Most of my...

I'll be using the angelina f13838...90 degrees. Widest angle that will fit the holder. In case anyones thinking of ordering the f13839 made for the 3070 it will only fit aag stucchi holders. The 838 made for 3590s has the right mounting points, and fits both 3070 and 3590.... Same...

I use the arcadias, I think they work well...my bulbs are over a year old though so i'd like to get a uvb meter and new bulbs to see what kind of output I've lost in the time. According to arcadia they still output 90% after a year of 12/12 if I remember right Waiting on a blue dream to cure so...

    Led build~ 2' heatsink 200w

Its a wire sheath to protect the wiring. If you look in most prebuilt lights they will have them, even in enclosed lights. I just think its a good idea, especially when running wires over the heatsink. The edges where heatsinks are cut are usually pretty sharp, not like they are bullnosed with a...

Does the spydr have a v8 or 6 cylinder? Insurance must be high for those convertible cars. I must say it is cheap for a high performance sports car... Just kidding.. Apache with hopefully a discount from those options. Spectrum king and kind are below par. Spider should be a car for the price

Alrighty then. Drivers on order, will keep it low voltage, try something different. Save those other drivers for an eventual 240v upgrade, it'll give me some motivation to get that done. Got the 4" x 4" aluminum plate secured with the t-slot screw and nut system. Drilling thru 1/4" plate can...

Not a bad skill to learn, it comes in handy. Sorry, didn't realize they were available mounted. I made a thread on reflow soldering that has everything you need. I can make a comprehensive list and instructions when I have some time if you want. I even have a file for a updated solder stencil...
