From everything that I have read, this is normal. The plant is using up the last of the nitrogen. I got a plant almost 8 weeks into flowering and mine is doing the same thing, scared me at first, but im sure it's just part of the plants natural cycle.

Would look cool if it works, but I think your going to run into problems with the roots having them both in the same pot.

One more question, I'm still thinking about ordering the diatomaceous earth or neem oil. Which of these would be better?

I didn't see any flying ones, a few came to the surface when I watered then they went back into the dirt.

This is what's left of my first grow (had to throw out 5 males). I was watering yesterday and noticed some little gnat looking bugs come to the surface. After doing some reading i think their fungus gnats. Read about some different ways to get rid of them using diatomaceous earth, or neem oil...

Temperature is going to be a big problem depending on where your at. If it gets below 50-55 degrees your plants will have very slow growth or not grow at all.

Here is what I do. I put the seed in a shot glass of water then keep it in the dark until it sinks. Then put the seed in a dixie cup and put the cup in a humidity dome and set it on a window sill...now that its been cold I put it on a heating vent. From what I understand a seed doesn't need...
