It's been a few years since I bought any, and I can't remember where I got it. It is a very common additive to medications. You can warm the wax and PEG on a coffee warmer and they should mix well.

I found PEG400, food grade, works great, 1:1 ratio with QWISO. Seems to stay stable for months. I have no experience with Limonene. I can't stand the taste of PG and do not use it.

Fantabulous Crock Pot Cannabutter w/Soy Lecithin

I heat it to 240-250° for 25 minutes or less. Pot naturally decarbs over time so it may need less time. You an see it start to bubble around 210°, very tiny bubbles. use a metal wire or a thermometer to stir occasionally and watch the bubbling slow and stop. I remove it from the heat and cool it...

    Help with coconut oil

I'm at 6500 feet, water boils at 201°F. My crock-pot coconut oil is not decarbed right out of the crock-pot.

    Can I bake decarboxylated budder?

If baked goods even reached the boiling point of water, they would be rock hard as the water would turn to vapor and be gone.

    Help with coconut oil

I decarb after I make my oil. 245°F for 25 minutes or less. You can watch the out-gassing of the CO2 (decarb), stir with a metal probe occasionally as the bubbling winds down. Many materials are partially decarbed, and I like to be able to control the outcome. Also I've extracted with coconut...

    Canna oil...water vs no water?

I do use water. I don't like the chlorophyll smell and taste, nor do I want baked goods to be green that don't happen to have chocolate to hide it. I also started out with lecithin for eating, but have dropped it as I can't tell any difference. I have actually gone to a second melt with fresh...

Do I really need to decarb if I'm making butter?

Because one has so little control over the results of decarbing dry/partially dry material that may be partly decarbed anyway, I make my oil first and then decarb it. You can watch the decarbing, it is out-gassing CO2. Around 210°F it becomes visible and at 245°F it can form a nice foam top like...

Fresh, Fresh Frozen Or Dried For Cannabutter?

Yes, I do. Normally I use 2 oz. of buds for canna-coconut oil. If I make water hash first, I double the amount for the canna-coconut oil. Coconut oil works better than butter, holds more cannabis. It goes wet, right from the water hash bag to the crockpot.

Decarb covonut oil after its made?

I put the hardened coconut oil in a 2 qt sauce pan. I usually have 2 lbs of oil, and I like to let it dry over night to minimize the water content. I heat it on low with a thermometer in it. When it gets to 220°F I put it on a cast-iron heat diffusing plate, which I preheated on low on another...

Decarb covonut oil after its made?

This presents a quandry to me. I make my coconut oil infused by having it in a crockpot for 8-10 hours. I decarb after I make the oil. There is distinct difference between the water boiling off, and the tiny out-gassing bubbles from the decarboxillation. I always get the latter at 215-220°F and...

    Decarbing?

I use 2 oz of small untrimmed buds per 16oz of coconut oil for cooking. As an experiment, to try to make single 0 capsules, I've used as much as 10oz per 16oz of oil. They weren't strong enough, 1 capsule that is, so I added 11 grams of QWISO wax to bring them up to snuff. I add this only to...

    Decarbing?

A similar, less green taste can be had if you are using a crockpot and coconut oil, by taking the hardened oil after extraction, and melting it with another batch of fresh water works well too.

    Decarbing?

I would put the wax in a small stainless container in a 245° oil bath. Stir occasionally, by 20-25 minutes it will stop creating small bubbles. When the bubles stop it is done. Cool, and add to warm cream mix well. Look at the fat content in a given amount of cream. I would expect to be able to...

    Decarbing?

You are going to need to heat the cream to get anything to dissolve in it, like I said before, 130-140°F at least. It takes that warmth to get wax to dissolve in coconut oil, cream may take more time and/or temperature, due to lower fat concentration than oil.

    Decarbing?

I've never tried it, but would assume that yes, some would go into the cream. It depends on how much fat is in the cream and how much can be in solution with wax added. I'd give it a try, but I rarely use cream. I like 1/25th of a gram of QWISO or BHO decarbed as a 'dose', friends find that...

    Decarbing?

Actually, I am decarbing coconut oil infused with wax or coconut oil used as the extraction medium. The coconut oil can be washed with water to remove most of the cannabis odor, I do not toast my herb in the oven. I think there is much better temperature control and control of the decarbing...

    Extracting CBD

I treat mine like regular buds and extract. It decarbs very much like THC as far as I can tell. I have been working with R4, an 18% CBD strain. A lot of it goes to my dog who has an auto-immune disease. I decarb CBD, and do not decarb THC extracts to combine in capsules for him. That should let...

    Decarbing?

Would you go for 6-7 hours at that temperature? As a rule of thumb I use a halving of reaction time for every 10°C increase in temperature.

    Decarbing?

I use 245° for about 25 minutes, in an oil bath. Like qwizoking, I watch the bubbling from the decarbing, and wait until it stops. If I used a double boiler, it would only get to 200° at my altitude, not nearly warm enough.
