In that case you should try 36mm or 48mm wide vinyl tape - usually sold as "dancefloor tape." It is the exact same material (sans some additives) as electrical tape but the wider width will help with your application.

I added the silencer and new clamps. Fan and filter are in the same position. It wasn't an issue before hand.
