Pump, 12 Volt or 110 Volt, what is Better?

I think you`d need a tad more than 1.25 amps to power a flux capacitor for 24 hours ;)

Pump, 12 Volt or 110 Volt, what is Better?

I`ve had the option of charging my 100L accumulators to 145psi without any electrical power whatsoever for years ;). Timer and solenoids will happily run off grid with a 7ah SLA battery and 20w solar charger.

    High Pressure Aeroponics

The only way to stop roots is to create a dry air barrier they wont cross. A screen above a humid space is no deterent, they`ll just grow through it and eventually block the screen. A screen above a dry air space air prunes the roots tips that venture too close. Fwiw, 20-30 micron mist will hang...

    High Pressure Aeroponics

Its made from a stack of 3 hdpe trays, 24 x 16 x 4 deep, i cut the bottom out of the middle one so its just a collar that adds height. I put threaded holes in the bottom tray to mount the nozzles which also keeps the tray watertight. The drain consists of a 15mm JG tank connector with the back...

Cant find Tall net pots (aka) Deep net cups

Roll a cylinder out of plastic mesh and you can have a "netpot" that extends all the way down to the floor. Not sure why you`d want / need one but it wouldnt take more than 5 minutes to make.

    High Pressure Aeroponics

Spent a few hours today building another hp cloner/seed starter using assorted bits and bobs from ye olde aero spares box. Three nozzles, 130psi, drain to waste.

Just built cloner 7 days no roots

If the stems are soaked in a minute, running another 29 minutes of spray wont make a difference. 30 minutes off is too long, 5 would be better and 10 at the most.

    High Pressure Aeroponics

The chamber walls and floor are permatron, check out the link i gave to Corvek ;) The shutters are manually operated but it wouldnt take a lot to automate them. They work like normal duct dampers, 90 degree rotation to open or close. Its more like summer here this past week, high 70`s is...

    High Pressure Aeroponics

The idea behind using it is to create a vertical duct so air flows up the gap between the permatron (chamber wall) and the impermeable outer wall. The mist in any hpa chamber will collect on the walls. Its not much use to any roots on there so it eventually builds up and runs down. The ducted...

Hi Corvek Here`s a link to the chamber design description to save me some typing ;) https://www.rollitup.org/t/my-aero-theory.901613/#post-12906334

    Misting/nozzle /tote design

    Misting/nozzle /tote design

How much nute do you spray each cycle? As little as possible. How many and what kind of nozzles do you run? The fewest number of the type best suited to provide full coverage of the chamber. How long is your on time and how long is your off time? Dependant on #1 and #2 above, plus stage of...

New to Aero - Bifarm Aerokit

in my experience screens located next to a humid air space (bottom of a sealed chamber) are only a minor inconvenience to roots as they can push through the smallest of gaps. The roots dont stop growing when they reach the screen, they go looking for a way around it ;) The sprawling roots will...

New to Aero - Bifarm Aerokit

There`s not really enough chamber depth for the roots even without a screen. Imho, the designer traded a big chunk of aeroponic performance to incorporate the peltier chiller which simply cools the internal reservoir and by extension the root chamber. I dont use chillers or internal reservoirs...

    High Pressure Aeroponics

The thread title kinda lead me to think it wasnt a hybrid but you should grow with whatever you feel comfortable with ;) Theres nothing wrong with failsafes and redundancy as long as they dont have a negative impact on peformance. My failsafes are spare timers and solenoid coils, i havent...

    High Pressure Aeroponics

You need a stable mist environment to initiate aero root growth, the LPA delivery will effectively be resetting the clock every 20 minutes ;) Running 300ppm mist 3 minutes after an 850ppm LPA flood serves no useful purpose. The exception is when running drippers to keep limited media moist in a...

    What is causing these spots?

If you have it on a timer i would cut back on the watering, roots have got to be allowed to breathe even in aero. Medi nutes look like they are 100% organic so watch out for clogging if your using spinners or sprayers.
