    stray current/ COBs staying lit

Current leak through the timer? I had this happen on some Meanwell LPF drivers running XP-Es just plugged into a standard light timer. When I put the circuit on an actual breaker, the issue was resolved.

Black dog led vs kind led

UV/IR are overrated wavelengths. Just look at the Mccree Curve. Then look at the countless examples of dank buds being grown entirely without UV/IR. My buds turn out just as good with or without. I had a Hortilux Rep tell me that THC production in resin glands is controlled by UV-B receptors. I...

Black dog led vs kind led

LOTS haha. Stoners and electronics can be a dangerous duo! Back to my original point. UL listing is nice and makes us feel warm and fuzzy inside, but it doesn't mean that there is nothing to worry about. Nor does it speak to the build quality of the product.:joint:

Black dog led vs kind led

I work at Grow shop dude. I would see these all the time. And nobody was cutting their cord LOL. Did you just make that up? These are plug and play fixtures, how would one "mess up" the wiring? Don't you own one? Companies don't warranty fixtures that were damaged due to operator error or if...

Black dog led vs kind led

My point exactly. That's why I used quotations around UL. The certification actually comes from MET which is a different underwriting company who meets the same minimum standards as UL. MET # E113627 Gavita's are actually UL listed. Those were catching grows on fire. Just sayin.

Black dog led vs kind led

I'm pretty sure E-Papillon DE are "UL" listed and those were catching people's homes/warehouses on fire about 2-3 years ago. They actually had to get bought out of their warranty contract (Phive-8 Dist.) because they had such a high failure rate. Certain areas in Colorado even restrict the...

Correct! Better than ok! We aim for "praying" plants! Some informative links on the subject of "Leaf Angle". https://page-one.live.cf.public.springer.com/pdf/preview/10.1007/978-3-642-70868-8_3 http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1046/j.1469-8137.2003.00765.x/full

    Quantum Boards 3000K 80 CRI vs 3000K 90 CRI

What were the canopy/ambient temps? My guess is the VPD was too high. 800 umoles isn't too much light at that stage in flower.

4 ft 70 w samsung custom aluminum pcb strips

I appreciate the link, but I have since ordered some Bridgelux EB Strips. I was hoping for a cheaper Chinese plug on some Samsung Strips, but for time/price/convenience the EB Strips were the ticket.

    Maximum yield potential

Grams/ SQ Ft is IMO the 'best' metric for measuring the total production in a space. Veg time, pot size and number of plants are all irrelevant when it boils down to how much weight is pulled from a Square Foot or 4x4 area. Plants have a predetermined length of flower time, so whatever...
