    Mold?

In my experience, under a loupe mold will look kinda like spiderwebs. Trichome stalks and heads will wither up a bit and some heads will fall off during the dry and cure, but they are still discernable as trichomes. Take a safety pin and scrape a little. If its mold, the webs will stick...

Does using a flushing solution mean I can flush with less water?

IMO, dont use a flushing agent. Just go with plain pH'd water, and lots of it. I've had plants react very poorly to FF Sledgehammer which is supposedly organic and not harmful to plants. Ha! Tell that to my plants! It was ugly...:-( Perhaps it was user error, i don't really know, but i only...

    Loupe magnification

By all means, use what works best for you. You have to get right on top of the crystals with a 40x and the focal distance is much shorter than the 10x. I find the 10x easier to use and it allows you to see more triches at once to get a better idea of what percentage are clear/cloudy/amber. I...

    Loupe magnification

Start out with 10x, that should suffice unless you have really poor eyesight. Above 10x you start to see distortion around the edges. Although, you're not grading diamonds, so the distortion isn't really a problem. Bring the loupe right up to your eye and then move in close to the bud. Test...

    Harvesting too early?

I have a feeling you still sold yourself short on that one. Regardless of how big the buds may have been, it likely still had a long ways to go. Could have been that elusive 1 in 100 pheno that grows MONSTER buds. Who knows! I always wait to see the triches on the calyxes just starting to...

    Harvesting too early?

Surprised to not hear a response from the op yet. Did anyone else read this the same as i did? Im stone cold sober at the moment, and still think i read that right. Harvested at 26 days flower. As for that one plant growing differently than the others, most seed packs will have more than one...

    Harvesting too early?

Am I missing something here? You're saying the ak is a 47 day strain? And you harvested a plant 3 weeks before that 47 day strain was due for harvest? Which puts that harvested plant at 26 days into flower? Did I read into this right? If so, you harvested that plant when it wasn't even half...

harvest time :white hair cloudy trichomes

Hay flavor is also from harvesting too early. The plant doesn't start really pumping out essential oils and terps until later in flower. Buds harvested at 6 weeks will not be anywhere near as smelly or flavorful as those harvested round weeks 8-9 when they're ripe. Obviously talking indica or...

    opinions on my crop

Those ambers appear to be on the leaves, but not the calyxes in that photo. Does that ring true for the entire plant? Notice how the amber seems to be moving inward from the leaf tips. Keep an eye on the calyxes, those are the triches that count.

Is Gorilla the most reliable brand of tent?

harvest time :white hair cloudy trichomes

Looks like you're only about half way through flower, so like fdd2blk said, about 4 weeks left. You don't want to cut too early or it won't taste or smell like much other than hay. Nobody wants to smoke hay. You'll also be missing out on potency big time. If its an 8 week strain per the...

Is Gorilla the most reliable brand of tent?

I'm undecided about my secret jardin. The zipper is so-so, lots of pinhole light leaks so i have to cover the tent with blackout curtains. Otherwise i love the verstility of the model i bought. 4x3x5 with a divider for a cloning room giving u two rooms, 3x3x5 and 1x3x5. The smaller room has...

    Flushing question, no debates please.

No there isn't. To date, as far as anyone in any forum can show, there has never been a true study on flushing done with controls in place. It's always been a pissing contest of "show me something to back up your claims". No one has provided that becuase such a study has never been done. So...

    Flushing question, no debates please.

:wall:See, this is the negativity i speak of. Its a difference of opinion and nothing more. It has nothing to do with someone knowing or not knowing how to grow, dry, cure, etc.. There is no science to back up either claim and both sides have determined that their way is the best. I have...

CO2 bag, tent grow, one plant in 32x32x63 tent

She looks really healthy but she's lanky. If this were me, i would actually be trying to inch that light closer and then back it off a couple or few inches the moment i see a sign of heat or light stress. I would measure that distance and know thats my sweet spot. I'm after the strongest...

CO2 bag, tent grow, one plant in 32x32x63 tent

How far is your light from the top of the plants? Moving the light 10 inches is going to reduce light intensity quite a bit. I checked out the amazon listing and they suggest 24" while some peeps that answered questions there said they could keep it even closer

    No ro water

A copy/paste that i think will benefit this conversation: Does distilled water contain harmful substances that have a lower boiling point than water? The only reliable way to remove chemicals in our water supply is through distillation. Distillation is a very straightforward concept: You boil...

    Flushing question, no debates please.

Why do i need a control? I wasn't doing an experiment. You want proof, do your own experiments. I'm the op, who asked for no debates because i have read it all before, a million fuckin times. I asked a simple question for which i thought i would get an answer from someone who flushes. I...
