    Suggestions for covering a 4'x4' organic grow - Vero 29's or CXB3590's?

The power supply has three outputs, they all output the same and adjust from like 36v-39v, 2.8amps each our something. So you can run 3 Vero 29 at about 100 watts each per power supply, 3 power supplies in the tent, 9 LEDs, 900 watts.

    Suggestions for covering a 4'x4' organic grow - Vero 29's or CXB3590's?

I guess it is over 3 months now, really killing it so far with 9 lights in a 4x8 tent, I was able to yield 1 gram/watt and I am a pretty inexperienced grower. I am also going to be turning the lights up a bit higher, I think, it is coming on winter and the ambient temperature is so much lower...

Why do some want high CRI?

Higher CRI does make it easier to diagnose plant health. It also makes the plants look much more impressive when people that are used to looking at them under HPS take a gander :)

    Heatsinks for DIY LED lamps

The alpine was good because it was only $10 at first, now it appears there has been a run of them and the prices are rising. I think as littlejacob said, cheaper to buy a heat sink and 120mm fan at that price point, and you are getting more bang for your buck.

The Fox's Second Led grow under cxa3070

There are all sorts of numbers involved in soil, however, you are making sure to set up all those numbers before you even stick the plant in the soil. Hydroponic you are just having to constantly monitor and adjust the numbers on the fly :) Also, my latest plants finished 2 weeks early under...

The Fox's Second Led grow under cxa3070

Good to know about the fox farm. The current set of plants that I have are in the FFoF and my friend who is using it uses no nutrients, personally, I feel like that would be a very attractive option. I would much rather have to only think about watering the plants, and it would really cut down...

    Suggestions for covering a 4'x4' organic grow - Vero 29's or CXB3590's?

I am running Vero 29s on RSP-320-36, up at 38Vf, working fantastic so far, some people mentioned that it being a CV not CC power supply might reduce the life span of the LEDs? But it is working great so far.

    My 1000w Hps Killer

Tax and shipping are important factors, shipping is 10% of the build cost for a single light, it would suck to have to pay tax on top of that.

Building Prototype 300W CXB3590 Bar Need Comments Suggestions.

I went with 4" sections of the 4.6" from Heat Sink USA, with some 120mm computer case fans, for some Vero 29s, having used some computer fans previously. I did it for a lot of the same reasons Goldy listed, cleaner look, easy to set and tape them into aluminum angle iron, and most importantly, I...

    Flowering under low PPFD levels

That Octopot is interesting, I have been thinking about doing something like that my self. I think you could DIY a pot systems like that pretty easy, I am currently using cloth pots, and you just need a big container under them to achieve something like that. This is very attractive because it...

New 200 watt vero 29 build

In most cases it seems like most shorts would be caused by wiring things together in a sloppy way, little strands not in a connection, or something wired in correctly. OR when something has been moved carelessly and wires have come undone. MY stupid question would be. If i just build the whole...

    Photosynthesis per 100 PPFD

Yes, I think one of the advantages of the cobs is the ability to better spread out the light. I can spread out 9 cobs along the whole length of my 8x4 tent and have pretty even light coverage. With traditional lights you are going to be stuck with single point source of light, or maybe two...

    Photosynthesis per 100 PPFD

Well if you look at it you are getting about 75% of potentially even at the mid 500 PPFD. As Supra points out, after about 800 PPFD things start to drop off pretty quick, from 800-1000 you are looking at 20% more light for a return of only 5-10% more yield. From my own experience, I still get...

    Photosynthesis per 100 PPFD

Shows diminishing returns as PPFD increases, this is why you want 900-1000 PPFD.

    My latest creation

Very nice Rahz, I have been considering a similar inline cooling set up for my next upgraded light. I was thinking of using 4" chunks of the 4.6" heat sink though.

Need LED's for 8x4 Tent Whats the Best Out There ?

You can build a light as good or better then anything on the market for less if you go with a DIY, If cost is not a big consideration, and time is the essence then buy something already built.
