They seem to be working fantastically. I have 7 plants under 6 of them, in a 4 by 6 space. They have been under 12x12 for about 40 days.

Avnewb: I think only using two screws will likely work fine, I have not done it, but I do plan on using thermal paste and kapton tape for my next builds, so I don't see why using two screws would pose a problem. Also, it is technically challenging to have all four holes line up perfectly as you...

You are right the LEDs plastic will stick out just a bit over the edge of the raised part on the heat sink. But if you turn it correctly you can still attach it with the four screws. Yes, two corners of the LEDs flat base will hang off about 1/8th, but it is a square base under a round array of...

What do you mean by some time? As 420sxing says the capacitors hold power for some time. If you are saying 2-7 seconds (random numbers) I would suspect this would be the case with any driver. If you are saying 5 minutes, then that would be something else.

Digikey is normally very reliable in there shipping times, and if you are ordering LEDs I would recommend using US priority mail for shipping if you are in the US it is super cheep and fast. You should have very good results with the LPF-90-42 I am currently have two arrays of Vero 29s that are...

    V series "Tetras"

I was thinking I might be able to build nice heat sinks with that stuff from Heatsink USA for less then the Alpine 11 ones. At C/W/3": approximately 1.4 I was thinking that I would need about 2 inches of it per Vero 29 with some form of active cooling. Assuming 6 LED Array, I would be aiming...

I have been interested in this product from Heatsink USA: Product Description Extruded Aluminum Heatsink Alloy: 6063-T6Width: 4.600" Fin Height: 1.451" Base: .230" C/W/3": approximately 1.4 Weight per Inch: .314 Weight per Foot: 3.768...

The heat dissipation with the Alpine 11 is much higher then required by my calculation you could get away with maybe 60 watts of heat dissipation, the alpine 11 is 100 watts. I had chosen the alpine 11 ones because of cost and simplicity, but I think they are a bit over kill, which with heat...

Yes, both my six LED Vero 29 arrays are running with the LPF-90-42. Just wire the DC side of each LPF-90-42 to the easy mate connectors and plug into the LEDs, then wire the AC ends together into one or two power cords and plug into a timer which is plugged into a wall outlet. If you wire with...

I was told running multiple COBs in series was a bad idea because they have a tendency to draw differing amounts of power and this can lead to thermal run away. Plus the LPF-90-42 are not to expensive... They were like $42 a piece when I ordered 10, and I can get them for $36 if I order more...

I had all of them Vegging in a room under the six Vero 29 array. They did really great, I liked the node spacing and bushy growth habit, they could have used more space. I just assembled my second six Vero 29 array and moved some of the plants into a second grow room to start flowering...

My understanding is that the 3000k, or 3500k would be best for flowering. That being said, I built mine using the 4000k and I am using them for both flowering and veg at the time being. The next ones I am building will be just for flowering and be 3000k or 3500k

Price of the Vero 29s on digikey has dropped to $28.21 for most models. I wonder if that means they will be getting the new ones in soon.

This would be why I felt like 6 lights for each array seemed reasonable :) 6.5A per plug seemed like a nice safe low ball number. Operating under the assumption that the cap per plug was between 10-15A.

I know I could add a few more COBs safely without pulling to much from the wall outlet, I just like to be overly safe. Running 6 x LPF-90-42, and one LPF-20-12. So 6x 0.95A / 115VAC, so 6.5 amps in, I could run 2x the lights on one cord safely? I think a 12 x Vero 29 LED array might be a bit...

    LED + CO2 ???

The original link does not work anymore, but Google has a cached version. I don't see any reason why LEDs would be substantially different from other grow lights as far as CO2 goes. How heat is generated and how the light is generated does change the kind of conditions one is looking to create...

One of the reason my build runs 6 x Vero 29s is because that is about as much juice as I felt I could reasonable pull with one cord from a standard wall outlet.
