Waste not, want not? Poultry “feather meal” as another source of antibiotics in feed Stay away from the slaughter house byproducts imo. This goes for feather meal, blood meal, bone meal, etc. Call me crazy, but I think there are better inputs for your organic soil. bongsmilie P-

Mycorrhiza Fungi...why you should get to know them...

No, worries, I was just clarifying my position. I understand your point. Trichoderma are definitely beneficial to a plant. It's the mass amount of trichoderma spores they put in the mykos products which I keep a close eye on. I was in the grow store a few months ago and picked up a bottle of...

Mycorrhiza Fungi...why you should get to know them...

I realize the two can work together mutualistically in nature. However, as you said, "What I am trying to express is a consensus wherein companies who are packaging a fungi gangbang of trichoderma, endo and ecto mycorrhiza are defeating nature's purpose by placing them in the octagon against...

Recycled Organic Living Soil (ROLS) and No Till Thread

You are very correct! Plants do remember! I believe it was the Darwins that did an experiment pricking the cotyledons on one side of the plant. The plant grow more vigorously on the opposite side of the pricking thinking it was a pest attack. The did the same experiment, pricked one cotyledon...

    Cooking soil help

Hey Anzo! I feel like this is a subtool misnomer. If you go out into nature, where is the most nutrients found, deep in the ground, or at the soil surface where things are decomposing, animals are pooping, etc? The problem is subtool adding everything but the kitchen sink to his mixes. It's way...

    Foxfarm or general organics?

I want to say I used about 1/3-1/2 of the bunches they sell at the store, blended strained and diluted to about 1 gallon of water. Experiment, and start light. I used to put lavender leaves in my sst's, but I was told we need the flowers. Generally I use the karanja and light botanicals for...

Organic growing, whats the target EC and PPM for your runoff?

Canna, what I am planning to do is something like this. I'm going to mix new soil and maybe round up a little on the kelp, crab, neem - not much. Then I'll add something like 2:1 new soil to old soil. Might even be a little closer to 1:1. We'll see how much new soil I end up with. :) Peace! P-

    Foxfarm or general organics?

It's not in your head. I used safer soap for years. It is mildly effective against mites. Have you tried just blending a little cilantro and water? Add aloe and silica for a little extra. Definitely karanja if you don't like the smell of neem. Peace! P-
