by the time this finally processes for most of them they might finally switch over because the market will be flooded with this stuff but you'll be arguing with them that newer models have came out and are better and they'll still be to thick to understand what your bringing to the table history...

if it's for marketing I'd say the cheaper option simply because a lot of people don't understand led let alone cob and most probably well never expand their horizon as far as knowledge people respond to visual results rather then critical thinking

a handful of Cree spotlights for the same price would be a better light imo

your starting something that's not going to finish well i own some of those lights i have some input don't make this bigger then it needs to be. ..

a lot of people don't like that light me included i had the reflector style one and it's best only used for veg i wouldn't consider it a main light source for flower in that size area

i don't think a cob instantly translates to a 18 circle or what ever shape your light source may be considering intensity of each individual light and on top of that it's a simplicity factor i actually prefer them all spaced out like you brought up i also have them driven harder to help achieve...
