is this bud rot? (pic included)

no, that's likely a deficiency or root problems. Bud rot is impossible to miss, or to confuse with anything else, it looks like a huge mass of moldy rotten garbage

    First coco grow

and your cycle? i'm asking because more light = more problems... if the factors aren't right. A plant can be very happy at 200 PPFD for 18 hours and start going crazy if you change her to 400 PPFD

    First coco grow

she looks stressed honestly... i think there's a problem in the root zone, coco is sometimes dirty or salty. Did you prewash the coco? Why not coco/perlite? Coco by itself has never been a good solution for me. But with 30/40% perlite its bomb also pure coco stays so wet that is a magnet for...

For those currently in the marijuana industry

Everything is relative. Mostly i see people just fill up as much space as they have and improve as they go. The standard right now seems to be Gavita DE (or equivalent) or Strip Leds if you wanna be long term and efficient. Tasks involve all of those you mentioned, and usually 2 people can take...

    Why is defoliation so controversial?

only defoliation i've ever done is getting rid of: leaves on top of each other leaves shading bud sites leaves getting almost/no light leaves blocking airflow .. combined with SCROG and LST has propelled me to 1.7 gpw (LED) without CO2. But i've no idea if the defoliation has got anything to...

First Impressions of LED COB Redwood-VS

I'm wondering, what kind of problems did you experience due to the summer high temps? Nice to see what a grower with so much experience has to say about current LED tech!

How do you get rid of green algae?

reduce nitrogen content lower medium humidity (aka STOP OVER WATERING, but the other 2 are also growth factors for algae) avoid light reaching medium

    Bought LED board

If you're still messing with that board i'm willing to help. Honestly, i don't think you'll get MUCH output from the red diodes, but they will definitely help. And you can definitelly try to just run the whites, and it will for sure grow bud

    The command center

looks neat, my first reaction was: nice! i can see that a lot of work has been done on that wall... Looks clean for someone that can see the kind of automation you're doing especially for a DIY or if you're in humboltd... but its definitely a very bad shock and fire hazard... I know some of...

Who runs Bloom temps over 79F regularly?

Your 40% humidity is working in your favor... As long as there's enough airflow and water for the roots you should be fine even if you hit the low 90's for a couple hours... But regarding your question, i advice you against using the CFL's at all, they suck pretty bad... You're better off...

    Help high temps

My 2 cents: 30C is still OK =] Make sure you don't reach 35C(95F), that's the trouble zone. As long as you get your airflow dialed in, and keep your humidity levels below 60% (which is actually a little high for flowering) you should be good.

    Need help! Coco 50/50

how old is your plant? 600ppm seems like quite a lot of nutes for a plant that small it may be getting nutrient lock'd

Anyone using MaxiGro/MaxiBloom & dealing with pH issue?

I've used them a lot, and i think its your water... I get 7.0 water with less than 150ppm, i know for sure i can use a teaspoon of Maxi per gallon and the PH will be perfect every time... Something you could try is buffering the water BEFORE adding the maxi, PH UP after nutrients tends to...

First run using strips. What yall think?

i know this is a somewhat old post, but if you wanna maximize spread and even-ness then you gotta distribute the lights opposite to what's going on in that picture. (focus on the edges, instead of the center) Light naturally gathers in the center of the light and drops as you reach the edges...
