what nutrients are you using this year?

NPK, Magnesium(epsom salts), Ironite 1-0-1, Cytozyme foliar, Volcanic ash, Fish emultion, and a few drops of Superthrive. I'm old school. I was doing this before all these Cannabis specific products came on the market. Yes they are capable of doing the job, but are pricey compared to my mix...

uk outdoor grow 2014-The one we have all been waiting for!...

Trimming foliage is an old wives tale passed on by those who know no better. Some will argue with me(and have, all day long) but Jorge Cervantes and other well known advisers agree with me. That foliage is there because the plant WANTS it there. It will self prune when those leaves and branches...

    portland oregon outdoor grow

Let the plants abandon her leaves as she wants. Remove those leaves once brown and crispy. A sun leaf not only produces energy, it stores it. Done perfectly, the last sun leaves will die the day before you harvest.

uk outdoor grow 2014-The one we have all been waiting for!...

Interesting quad. Truthfully, you NEVER want to let cuttings wilt. This decreases their viability a bunch(I'd guess 80%). Doesn't mean they won't survive. It just means it will take them longer to root and recover. Elongated stems on the babies means a lack of light. I'm hoping your grow will be...

    My backyard girl.

I wish she were a bit out in the open. Those large sun leaves plus lack of long side branches make her perfect for LST. LST is just bending the plants main and side stem to cover as much area as possible. Bending her toward the north to an angle of 45 degrees would nearly double her footprint...

JUST WONDERING IF I SUPER CROPPED HER RIGHT

Consider tying the ends farther down, but gently. The main stem may split at some point, but this usually is harmless. Topped plants often do this as the plant gets heavy. The benefits of further bending(LST) are more nodes get full sun, and sun leaves cover more area. More square feet, more...

    Plants found! Help

The point is, anybody with any sense of self preservation would know what to do. 400 plants in July? A 747 would spot that. If you are truly that clueless, stay away until November. If the weed is gone, it was seen.

    Tips/Advice/Techniques for Improving Heat Resistance

Exactly! Assuming your native soil isn't a non porous clay, a deep soaking immediately after planting, coupled with thick mulch will be a tremendous help. Once the plant is well established(obvious vigorous growth) deep weekly watering should be adequate.

    help cooling a greenhouse

I designed my greenhouses for good ventilation. They are 8' x 12' boxes, with Solexx on three sides and the roof. Vents at ground level on the West, South, and East sides with the Solexx, and roof level vents on the North side. Even without fans, air will move from the intake vents to the exit...

JUST WONDERING IF I SUPER CROPPED HER RIGHT

Your effort is successful. Although I sometimes use supercropping, if possible I prefer low stress training(LST). This is just bending the stems without crimping them, and then tying them down.

    Strange Duel Buds - Question

Mutation. I've had many strange things happen to my plants, which are mostly from seed. One that occurs frequently during the mid summer involves the plant growing so rapidly that mistakes occur during cell division. One suck plant started very poorly, barely surviving. It had three main...

    help cooling a greenhouse

I strongly suggest avoiding using a swamp cooler. Why? Because they ADD humidity to the air, reducing a plant's ability to cool itself with respiration. My plants do well in high temperatures because air is moving in and out of the greenhouse at a fairly rapid rate. Local humidity(the central...

    Quick question for a newbie

Back in the 70s, some of the finest herb I've ever smoked came from the islands on 4-to-the-oz sticks. It is very hard to duplicate that volcanic soil, but I try.(I add volcanic ash. A friend brought me a bunch after St. Helens blew its top in 1980.)

    Quick question for a newbie

Do you have a way to grind them up? I may be wrong, because I've never tried soil replacements, but it is probably very low in existing nutrients. This gives the grower more control in feeding precise amounts of nutrients. I've found potting mixes and dirt work just fine.(I'm currently unable to...

    CR+

There are a lot of people who like topping. I did it myself a couple time in the 80s. Long observation and experience tells me it is counterproductive. LST and, to a lesser extent, supercropping are far more effective. That said, I suggest you stop messing with your plant and let her grow. Best...

    Quick question for a newbie

Ok. If you haven't purchased the skin yet, I want to suggest you look at Solexx fabric. It is pricey up front, but has a ten year warranty. I just reskinned the roofs this year, after 11 years. The walls look like they are good for another decade. Since I own my home, I try to think long term.
