We have had agreements with Germany and Japan to defend them against invasion since WW2 because we didnt want them to have a large military.
Those agreements should be looked at examined and modified.Make them defend them selfs.Give them time to arm up..sale them all the weapons they want short of nukes. and mostly come home with almost all of our troops.
Let them share more of the burden of the cost of their defense ,instead of constantly giving the US tax payer the bill forever.
