1st Timer! "Reggie" Guerilla Grow, All Good Advice is Readily Accepted!

K, fellas, here is the idea,, down here in the south,, no good seeds and being my first time- im just going to plant the reggie seeds and see how it goes. already been in papertowel a couple days starting to "breakout" got a nice out of the way spot that I believe will work perfect- should be about 50 yards away from water. No one frequets the area at all- plenty of brush around,,, it will take me about 25 minutes to get to everytime I want to "maintain" - planning oin cleaning the area soon, dropping some potting soil in place (is any type acceptable since it is reggie??) some insecticide around the area- visit it twice a week in able to maintain, such as weeds, cut out bad areas, and water. Does reggie yield more than other "finer grades"?
You all may be wondering why reggie since there are so many great strains out there... reason being is that I'm paranoid since I've never tried to order seeds, and the fear of that not working out.. also anything that I can grab at home depot or lowes as far as helping nutriently. Been reading everyones elses work and am in awe, just a rookie, dont be to hard on me !!!
Yes i realize this is super amatuer- just trying to play it safe!
hey man how ya doin?

first of all, bagseed is an excellent way to start your first outdoor op. if you succeed then cool you got some nice outdoor herb, if you fail, well that sucks but at least you didn't blow a ton of money on a stupid mistake. also, as farm dawg said, you can bring any strain to its maximum potential if you treat it right. that means treat it like the finest strain you've ever seen, be good to it from start to cure and you'll definitely end up with a better smoke than the bag you got it out of.

in terms of yeild, that really depends on the genetics of these unknown seeds and the growing conditions. outdoor plants tend to yield more than indoor due to the fact that they can potentially grow larger and the sun is a far more efficient source of light than any man made light source. use some good organic soil (even if you have to go cheap and use miracle grow organic mix) because your plants will like that more and its easier on the earth. Not to mention a better tasting smoke. the ultimate factor in a high yield though is sunlight. make sure your plants are getting AT LEAST 6 hours of direct sunlight a day. That is a very BARE minimum. the more light the more herb.

another way to improve your yield is to look into LST'ing and topping, not only will this give you more budsites, it will also keep your plants at a lower profile and help them blend with the surrounding brush.

other than that, let nature do its thing, it's a whole lot better at growing plants than we are

good luck!

Sounds like a game plan!

Almost stepped on a rattlesnake today.. He was in the ground and I seen him mouth open 180 degrees .. Waiting to protect himself!!!! Luckily I seen him and hopefully the boots that go up close to my knees would have been worth their weight in gold ... Close call!!!!!!!

Ok since some of my seeds didn't make it, should I order more- because beside the Reggie I have only 12 growing... One is looking iffy since she just isn't growing much.... I really wanted my yield to be 5 lbs ... Not including Reggie --so---
Should I order more seeds... Getting a little late for that- or do you think I can pull of 5lbs - possiblily 11 plants???

And if I order seeds again should I go ahead and get next years too? Keep em in the freezer & all...
Damn dude. Snakes are a bitch. I have my boot & machette ready for such situations. Not to mention I have sprinkled lime around my grow area. Lime irritates any reptile skin which keeps them away from the area. I would order more seeds if I were you. I suggest Female Seed Company Pure AK and Green House Seed Co. Cheese. They are inexpensive and are REALLY easy to grow. I know some people that have started late and have gotten 1/2 pound to a pound per plant outdoor. If you grow properly then 5 pounds is doable for 11 plants. Hell wrathchild got 10 pounds off 10 plants and started in May so you starting at the end of May isn't that bad. I have a few cheese that I am going to put outside later....

Sounds good...yeah some of mine are the same size as your cheese...

Got all my soil out there .. Moving 20ish bags to the of nowhere was a mission!!

Happy when I can transplant them outside,, move onto the
Next step of stage one !

I love it!!!

using 5 dust u can add directly to plants only 4 times a year, so it must do the job the whole year for just 3 or 4 addings

Looking excellent! That's time effort & love showing in 75 days!

My concern now is figuring out which Reggies are male.. Some are a month & a half.. About 8 inches tall,,will post pics soon..

I don't want to let the Reggie males infect the feminized seeds from Nirvana..

The superthrive with compost tea- is def making the girls fill out quickly & beautifully.

Dude, the males are usually the ones to show their sex 1st. Might want to check on your plants daily to make sure you can get rid of the males. I had to toss ALOT of males this grow. I WILL NOT buy anymore regular seeds. It's just not worth it no matter how good a strain is. I had to toss KC Brains & Mr Nice. It was a waste of soil, time, and effort.

My bad fellas!!! Throwed the "Mentor"!!
My labtop went down .....

I'm back up and running... it's time for these girls to go outside !

First ! I have four Reggies... So I need to know if they are males- two maybe big enough to tell sex(look at pics)
and if I want to keep em.. Cuz for Reggie there are always seeds right?
Had em ready to be thrown away..but already got the girls(or boys) this big!
And if so how far do I need to keep them from the Thai Fantasy..Kush (good female plants)???
Don't know about you guys but is been super hot & dry outside!!!!

Try to water either early in the mornings, or at night. If you get water on the plants during direct sunlight, you have a risk of burning the plants, especially if you have fertilizers in the water...

You can't tell a plants sex in veg u have to flower them and the schwag plants won't have seeds an can make decent bud if u kill all the males and have sensimilla and those Reggie plants kinda look like they would be males since they're tall and stretchy but then u could just have shitty lighting too

First off im replying to the topic not the post.. You need to kill the bugs before you plant, organicide works great but smells terrible. Dig holes the size of 3-5 gallon buckets and fill with a peatmoss/ perlite mix. Add what ever organic amendments like bat guana, blood meal, fish emulsion, horticulture molasses, and finally some beneficial bacteria. Depending on how late in the season you plant will depend on the nitrogen allowed. Spray with organicide about once a week or longer. The plants will have a waxy coating. Do not spray the last 3 weeks! By that time you should be good on cold weather keeping bugs out your shit. Check for males daily and kill on site. To be honest hermies are not too big of a deal since its bag seed. the worst that can happen is you have a herm flower a female and you get feminized seed. IM subbed so fi you need it im here. I was a Tx guerilla grower for 10+ years ive had up to 100plant grows almost in the middle of major cities. I was the guy that made whole areas of town go "hey, you smell that? smells like fresh bud!" Start your seeds indoors with florescent bulbs in 3oz cups if you can. It helps with weeding out trash starters and transport.

I am doing the same thing... I got some seeds from some good mids i had and just planted them in a pot and stuck the pot down in a stack of tiress in the yard. Works well for keeping moisture in and critters out. also good camo. I use kgro fertilizer with good nitrogen concentration and potash. I usually grow areoponics but decided to try outdoor because i have a child now and dont want her to walk into my farm/closet and be like MOM WTF????? I too live in the south. take some advise and get some safer soap for pests like little aphids and such cuz they will DESTROY your crop.

the seeds that u are calling "reggie" are basically the same seeds u purchase from the internet. the only difference is that is was mishandled after it was grown out. do the plants have broad leaves or skinny leaves? bright green or dark green? all herb is good herb as long as u take care of it......

Yo, go look up what latitude you are at. Then go look up sunrise/sunset times for your latitude. Once you get to about 12 hours of sunlight per day, add a week to ten days and THEN you will be able to tell what the sex of your plants are.

Promise.
