Wax I believe. It is entirely possible to make clean with with terpene preservation. Nearly all of mine comes out under 100ppms, even gotten a few 0ppm tests.CO2 oil?.........
Thanks DanWax I believe. It is entirely possible to make clean with with terpene preservation. Nearly all of mine comes out under 100ppms, even gotten a few 0ppm tests.
Depends on the volume of tests you get. Generally ~$50-80 per test. Down to $40 if you get 50+ tests per month. Thanks Dan
How much do the labs charge for a test?....
Not sure if you are referring to me but here is where I got it from. I must say $100 is more reasonable.its 100 bux plus oil, I dunno where this 1000k price is unless your giving the oil portion a retail markup.
Having judged concentrates, including at one cup, my impression is that shatter is much more likely to end up with residual butane, than wax is, because of the much longer time under vacuum processing into the wax.
The thing that was made clear to me, is that all of the entries paid a $1000 to enter, thinking they had the winning extract, and all but one was wrong.
All felt theirs would pass the lab tests for residual solvent before plunking down that $1K, and a number were wrong there as well.
I personally think there should be different standards for the different solvents, because they aren't all created equally toxic, and in the case of butane, relatively non toxic in the amounts typically found.
The way many brothers and sisters leave butane in their shatter, is by processing at too low a temperature for it to readily escape, but for longer periods. That is why we use 115F for a shorter period, that still retains adequate monoterpenes.
Great link! Anyone else here doing the norcal secret cup?
When & where?.......Great link! Anyone else here doing the norcal secret cup?
This is why I consider shatter to be nothing more than a fad.1 out of 29 entries and that for a 710 cup in South Cali is very scary.
Shatter being the most prized or at least the most expensive extract on the market makes it even more so.
