30+ Plants - Two 1000w sound right?

As the title suggests - would that suffice?

Or how about maybe one 1000w in the middle, with two 600 watters on the sides, to compensate for the plants further away, in the corners and such.

(I'm referring to HPS lamps of course).


Grow space : ~20-25m² / 215-270 square ft

Preferably no rail system

Preferably no SOG - (Afraid I'll mess it up)

Are you trying to sog or what? Give some more details. Room size, method of growing, light movers maybe, what ya got?

Well I'm thinking of avoiding a rail system - me and my buddy won't be around that often to move the lights anyway (we'll just be at the place a couple of times per week).

The room size, we don't know yet, however we will not be growing in anything smaller than 20-25m² / 215-270 square ft, which I personally think would be enough for 30 full grown plants that have vegged for around 2 months.

I'm afraid sog is a little too complicated for me - not sure if I could manage it. Just going to go the old fashioned way, I guess.

And we are also planning to maybe have 2 rooms - one for veg/one for bloom.

I can sog 16 under a 1000, but I bloom early and prune often keeping them under control (almost a cola grow)... you could do it with that concept and like mentioned above under the right conditions. I start blooming when they are about 8" tall.. many many ways of doing it...

Were you intending on doing the SOG or the 2 month grow? I'd advise against a 2 month veg for 30 plants, 1 month should be more than enough since you only have 2 1000's and 30 babies. I'd imagine everything would be cluster'd together and u wouldn't promote good lighting to the plants. SOG all day for this grow.

SOG is Indeed screen of green, right? Or am I confusing that with SCROG lol..

Alright well I see what you mean and I think you're right. I did a 2 month veg on my last grow, but I only had 6 plants anyway (plus the veg lamp was a 250w....)

2 months is way too long to veg. flower at 10-12 inches if your not going sog. if you can get a bunch of clones start flowering right away.
