3x3 Tent Setup

I pulled the trigger last night on a AC Infinity 36x36x72 Tent. Now that I got that over with I have to truly consider what I just did. As Ive always have done open room grows, the need for certain accessories is now realer then ever.
A few questions:
- Are carbon filters needed if one is not concerned about odor?
- I will be doing an RDWC system, two plants/ buckets , with res outside, any special considerations I should take?
- I plan on using my 400w HID, concerned about the space left up top.
- Can I see some setup photos of similar sized tents?
- When shopping for an exhaust fan, should i stick with AC Infinity, or considering I may go filter less, could I just get any kind of inline fan that has a good CFM?
- While noise is a concern, its my last concern. This is not a hidden grow, nor does it need to be.

absolutely get a carbon filter. you may not care but there are neighbors/mailmen etc.
re space/buckets - just watch the veg time and train them low, but you should really get an LED in there as they stay cool enough that the plants can get like 6" away on some and be fine.
ac infinity exhaust fans the cloudline series are the best ive ever used.

Thanks for the reply man. I get it about the stink. Been growing in open rooms for years, drying as well. Good thing about living rural, mailbox at the road, and a now legal(ish) state. Neighbors and everything is at least 100' away. However, I get it, better safe then sorry.

Been looking into LEDs but the budget isn't there currently. I have a 400wHID and a Maxsisun PB1500. I only use the Maxsisun if I need supplemental lighting. So working with what I have in the lighting department is going to have to suffice.

As for the actual growing I was either going to do two Autos with LST or 3-4 smaller photos and doing a pseudo SOG, or a Scrog, but Ive never tried that. Probably a good time to learn new techniques!

I do agree. The controlled height is what I really enjoy with Autos. I have a history of letting photos go a little too long in veg . I have an inventory of both autos and photos, and ill typically choose one or the other depending on the season and current stash. For instance ill grow photos all summer long, then autos during winter. Or do an auto late winter while I'm setting up my photo grow for summer. I'm all over the place. Haha. My last grow was a 7 foot photo white widow that was a mother early on, but all the clones failed due to my ignorance and cloning skills, oh well.
But for my first tent grow ill be doing photos so I can control the flip. Or maybe just one auto as a maiden voyage and let her grow out to see what happens. We'll see.

Not sure what the new hot craze is with Autoflowers Height is the easiest thing to control with basic training/topping methods. Make sure you got your temp/humidity and air flow dialed in - this might take a while if you've never used a tent before.

For me, there's a little bit of security in the autos. I'm not always 100% attentive to the training etc and a lot of the times its more reactive then proactive. I will know for sure that an auto wont get away from me, if that makes sense, haha.

The temp and humidity will definitely be my biggest challenge. This is going to be located in an "insulated" garage, and doing hydro. Is the typical challenge being the humidity being too high? Or is it just environmental?

Right now I have a larger hood. Is this a good time to go with a cool tube?

Honestly every environment is going to be different. Where I live it's extremely dry with very low humidity so I'm always struggling to get humidity up, winter gets to -25 and summer gets to +30. LEDs are a great way to get a sweet spot for heat. My recommendation is to get an exhaust fan with an adjustable dial as you can tune that in to find better humidity and temp levels at that stage.

Right on! I think a 4" would be fine for your space. I have a 6" in my 4x4 and I have it running at like 15%.

Make sure you got a few fans inside the tent

Yea, figuring on that too. What i have in my inventory is too large, so ill be getting some clamp fans. Any recommendations, budget friendly?

Wife's starting to get on my case, haha, up until now Ive DIY'd as much as I could. Looks like ill be tapping into my new golf club secret fund.

Clip fans apparently require some ancient technology so companies feel like they can charge absurd prices for them. I've heard you can find cheapos at Walmart but no luck up here in Canada. I just got some 8" clip ons for like $40 each from local hydro store

Alright, so pretty much anything will do. Lol. Wasn't sure if there was a run of thumb, for size of tent etc.

I stick with 8" clip ons - anything less just didn't really move much air imo but I guess I could see the use for really small areas.

I've got two 8" static fans and one 8" clip on.

I don’t have any pics of it, but that was basically my first setup. 3x3 ipower tent, 6in ipower exhaust fan rated at 440cfm. I wouldn’t worry about the filter in your situation. Had cheap clip on fans on each corner bar(they lasted one grow lol) I use a single oscillating tower fan in my 4x4s now.

Zip ties and regular desk fans are good option in that small a space. Every clip fan I’ve tried has been trash.

Carbon filter is just for smell... You definitely don't need 1. I didn't get an ac Infiniti fan because I leave mine on all the time. I have a carbon filter and need it to work all the time. I'd get the AC infinity fan if you don't have a carbon filter. You can set it up to only kick on if the temps or humidity get too high. It's nice that it helps automate your growing environment all by itself. Aside from that I would seriously consider investing in an led light. You will easily save money on electric bills... From the light using less electricity plus your exhaust fans will need to run less.... Plus if you can keep the temps down... And don't have to run your fan constantly... It's easier to keep humidity levels where you want them... And if you run any kind of co2, you won't be venting that out of the tent if your exhaust fans aren't running. You can get a solid light for a 3x3 for probably $300- $400 on Amazon.here is a Mars hydro bar style led... For under $300.

For the extra minuscule ammount I would buy the 6 inch fan from ac infinity with their controller 67, that’s what I’m about to rock in the same space, the 6 inch coped well with 660w of led but I’ve found that if u can keep 6 as ur max speed on the ac infinity fans then u can barely hear them running
