600w HPS cupboard grow from clones (LST)

it almost looks like u misted them and the light burnt where the droplets were not nute burn but thats just me. also if u do soil again i recomend black golds coc blend its all organic with no nutes in it so u add them when u need them. also only 10 bucks for a huge bag just add some perlite

Nah none of the seedlings were misted at all. Thanks I will keep an eye out for that soil.

My seedlings have recovered nicely in their new hydro setup. The 2nd and 3rd leave sets are growing and have no nute burn they are nice and green.

My mother on the other hand didn't make it. I have put her to rest. Not too fussed because one of these seedlings will be my new mother (its a better strain anyway).

Here is some pics of my seedlings, recovered and starting to grow again in the hydro pots. As you can see the 1st leaf set is burnt (from the soil they were in previously) but the 2nd leaf set looks nice and healthy. They all look the same.

Also I germinated another 4 snow whites, so the grow is now 10. All feminised snow whites.

No its mainly rockwool.

At the very bottom of the pot is a 2cm layer of clay pebbles (hydrotron). Then there is a layer of 5cm of rockwool. Then another 2cm layer of Hydrotron. Then another 8cm of rockwool. Then a 2cm layer of hydrotron over the top.

I mixed the hydrotron layers in just to give the roots some good air. Rockwool can tend to stay a bit too wet for them i've found.

I water it at the moment about every 5-6 days. Basically I wait until the pots feel fairly light then I water them, which at the moment is about 5-6 days. I give them about 1/2 liter each at the moment.

As they get bigger, and get into flowering, i'll probably be watering them every 2-3 days.

Gave the pots there first flush out today.

Flushed them with PH adusted tap water, which around here is 42 PPM out of the tap. PH adjusted to 5.8.

Then when finished, gave them a feed, PH 5.8 and PPM 350.

The 2 pots on the very left, and also the very right, are the newest seedlings. They are about 10 days behind the other 6.

Those ones were never in that soil, they started out life in hydro, so they don't have any nute burn on the 1st leaf sets like the other 6.

All are now growing fast and the new growth looks healthy.

Everything is going well now, back on track. What started out as a soil grow from clones is now a hydro grow from seed, but none the less, its back on track :)

There are still a couple of really small spots on the leaves of the older seedlings (the ones I started in that evil soil) which im not overly worried about at the moment because they seem pretty healthy overall. And the spots are getting better, not worse.

Here's a few pics of the seedlings. They are all growing pretty quickly.

I've been reading up on LST because I was about to start it in the next few days.

I read somewhere though that feminised seeds have a tendency of turning haemaphrodite if you stress them.

So im having second thoughts about whether or not I should LST them.

Im thinking maybe just grow them normally, 1 cola each, SOG style. I'd have 10 colas in total so I would still get a decent harvest. I would think around 10-15oz.

Thoughts?

lst is great to increase yeild and open the plant for morelight below. fm seeds always have a chance of being a herm cuz thats how they are bred a fem seed is just a somewhat stable hermie. she some of them will most likely turn hermie in the last few weeks, i dont by fem seeds cuz it is to me a waste of cash for a hemrie seed. if u dont lst try topping them once it creates more shoots

Do you think LST would increase the risk of them turning hermie? Or are they just as likely to turn hermie even if I don't LST them?

well lst is low stress training so it is very low stress unless u have a really unstable strain then it wont effect a hermie unless u high stress train. fem seeds will most likely herm near the end and most the time u wont notice cuz the bud is covering. but its ok seeds take 3-4 weeks to be made so in the final weeeks a hermie is nothing to worry about, some might not even be hermie i was just sayin theat thats al fem seeds are really just a bit more stable but havea highr risk of bein hermi

Some pics. All going well at the moment.

I've decided to LST only 4 of them. The remaining 6, I have topped so that they will each have 4 colas.

lookin good glad u decide to try some lst. also how warm is your grow room and how hot is it on top of the plants. they seem to have some heat stress or somthin. have you already got it figured out

Temps are at 26c during lights on, and about 19c during lights off.

The stress that you saw in earlier pics was because I had just watered them, and also it was the end of the light cycle.

I've backed off my watering to every 4 days (was every 2 days) and they seem to like that better. PPM is currently 600, and ph is 5.8

The 6 in the middle are the topped ones, and the 4 on the outer edges are the ones im about to start LST'ing.
