oh, ya dude if you use LEDs right they'll treat you better than CFLs for sure (imo of course)...but don't treat them like HPS's unless you've got PLENTY of led wattage to go around. Up close and personal SOG style would be great for the 300watters that I have.

Mmmm, GDP... gotta agree w King, it's pretty hardy stuff. Throw food and water at it as necessary, and gets stocky and stinky. Mine's got about a week and a half left, and I can't wait. Sooo King... maybe some cured nug shots sometime? Love seeing the finished product.

Alright I've got some quick shots of the GDP and PH and they've been treating me very well if I do say so myself 
You'll see that I obviously haven't trimmed these as well as they can be trimmed, but I like to pick apart the but and pull of the leaves as I pack bowls...kinda a meditative thing I do while I smoke...or a stoner thing I do...
anyway, I took these pics just now in my garage

Oh, and actually this is worth putting on here...I'm picking up some clones tomorrow from a dude since the clones I took decided to start flowering even though the lights were still on vegging 18/6. I'm getting 8 Matunuska Thunder Fuck's and 4 more GDP's cus I'm really liking the GDPurps

Made some changes to the garden today. I got 12 Matanuska Thunderfuck (MTF) clones from a guy, put them in the closet and moved the Monster Buds and one Morning Daze under the HPS, and I moved the weird plants that started flowering early outside with my dads Shiva Skunk....just for the hell of it, I won't have room for them inside.
Monster Bud is front left one and the one behind it, I believe the front right one is Morning daze, but it's one thats started flowering under 18/6 light so I moved it over.

Nice, growing some more strains I've never heard of. GDP looks tasty. Bummer about that pic of the MD - it would've been a good one!

Thanks Pablo, yeah Matanuska Thunderfuck is actually not a single known genetic, but rather any kind of strain that came out of the Matanuska Valley during the 70's. The valley is well known for growing big luscious vegetables and when the hippie movement found its way into the hearts of the younger generation living in the valley at that time (60's and 70's) they brought some strains up from somewhere and started growing some dank. Later the Feds came up and busted a bunch of people, so some took their gardens indoors and continued to perfect and dank-out the buds they had, at least this is what I've heard. The grows that went indoors is where the genetics have come from the MTF I've got, which I'm pretty certain is a cut from Dr. Greenthumb seeds in Canada - cus that lucky dude traded some bomb OG something-or-other seeds for some of the best that the MTF grower had.
So to sum up my short history lesson, Matanuska is a place where good classic-style ganja has been grown and perfected, but Matanuska Thunderfuck is not a single defined genetic strain.
oh and I know total bummer about that morning daze picture! its looking so dank! my camera's been acting up lately...it IS an old one, but I'm not trying to buy another one any time soon...

Thanks Sicc, they hung for about 7 days, give or take one, and from there I put them into mason jars to cure...and thats pretty much how they stay while I smoke on them.
And the MTF is legit! I was stoked when I got the opportunity - the guy gave me some outdoor of it that is kinda...not amazing quality, but it still gets me baked - and its a fun high - not couchlocky, but stony and trippy at the same time...could very well be a keeper strain
yeah that shit is legit, from what i read it was supposed to be some killer smoke, im sure you can grow it better tho

Thanks man, yeah the outdoor I tried was definitely just schwag - I can give it the right environment and I'm sure it'll give me a great end product - I'm stoked to see how it grows!
