Adam's OG clone only grow

Day 32 of 12/12. Last grow with this strain I harvested at about day 80, so it's got a ways to go. This "experiment plant" has turned into a grow that I'm taking much more seriously now. I need to find a pic from one of my other Adams OG grows from day 32 of flower to show a comparison. I used to not believe in defoliating during flower, but now it's my opinion that defoliating in flower is not only worth it, it almost feels dumb not to be doing it.

A few more pics I took tonight. Day 34 of 12/12. I'm very surprised how well the plant is progressing through flower. I thought it would overgrow the space for sure. Theres a little light bleaching on a couple leaves, but very very minimal and I lst'd those parts that were getting too much light/heat. Some of the colas in the back are literally growing in a vertical position. I've also been doing some defoliation everyday. I'm really putting this plant through the grinder, and no signs of wanting to hermie :hump: p.s. I'm sick and bored, so im a little trigger happy with my camera lately

Day 41 from the switch to 12/12.
I just compared it to day 41 on my last grow and it's pretty darn close looking as far as health and progression....which is absolutely awesome considering I was about to chuck this plant for getting to large. The canopy is not nearly as clean and level, but that's not so important for this grow. I'll just be happy with unbleached buds at harvest this time hah, but looks like I'm in for some goodness tho :). I think I'll start working with a different strain in a month or so, not because I dont like this strain (this Adam's OG has been a fantastic strain to grow and smoke). I just want something that has some purple in its genetics, which leaves me with basically 90 % of all the strains of today to choose from :leaf:

While I was sick with a virus for 2 weeks, I wasnt able to give my plants much attention bc of the lighting and fever combo, but I got a nice jump start on my no-dig/no-bitching veggie plot. This is the ultimate therapy. All of this keeps me out of the hospitals, psych wards, and jails. You cant be sowing thai basil while also plotting a robbery

Day 45 of flower. I notice some bleaching on some of the colas and figured out I could raise my light by about 4 more inches. Wish I would have done that from the beginning, but o well. I'm really happy with the quality, size, and structure/density of the buds. I can be very redundant describing this strains progress lol, but that's bc it has been the most consistently pleasing strain since I've started growing. #adamsOG ...one plant scrogged out

P.S. I'm not really sure how people do their own grow journals,...but I treat each update as if it's a new thread...because I know people most people are probably just reading the most recent post. If the writing sounds redundant, just look at the updated pics :)

I'm approaching the end of week 8. Here is a few close ups. All is kosher, except a little light bleaching on the tallest cola. The yellow leaves are more or less from light bleaching but that natural fade is occurring as well, so I'm ready to harvest whenever the trichs are ready. If anyone is curious, the high from this strain is exactly what one would expect from a heavy, potent indica. It's great, but its definitely not a daytime strain.

My cut of Adams OG at 36 days in flower. 734
Looks great! It's awesome to see someone else growing Adam's OG finally. It's a heavy heavy indica (I passed out in my chair last night in the middle of smoking, as I often do with this strain ha). Looks like you're in for some potent pot soon! I'm actually having another harvest tomorrow. Thanks for sharing. Feel free to update me whenever you feel like sharing pics or w.e. talk to you later

@CriticalHit ....how do your ladies smell? From what I've experienced, it always smells great, but not loud smelling like skunk strains or anything. I'd like it to have a more unique, powerful odor, but o well

General update. Day 68 of flower. They're trying to do some more foxtailing on me again by putting out more white pistols last night. For this strain, it's very obvious when its approaching its prime, and it's time to chop tomorrow:). Heres the last pics taken today. This grow was farrrr from ideal conditions, but still managed to get a decent looking crop (with the exception of some light bleaching on a few buds), so I'll take it.

Its really starting to get super pungent. I like to brush the tip of my nostril across a low branch to really get the whole terp profile. At first it comes on with a really strong lemon pine solish then the very familiar OG wraps itself in there and is truly just amazing. As the days pass on I cannot wait to try this one out. You close to 734 area?

Hell yea, this this strain is as fun to grow as it is to smoke, forsure. And yea I'm from the 734 area. Today is harvest day, but I might let it sit in the dark for another dayz, mainly bc I dont feel like trimming right now....problems right ha?

Yea it would be really cool to try each others out. Maybe, maybe....keep me updated with this strain if you want. I'm curious to see what it looks like in the end and how long it flowered for

Heres some pics after from harvesting yesterday. I'm happy. Hardly no popcorn. Larfy stuff. The last picture is of when I was about half way done with harvesting and I discovered a lot more bud that I never new about. I can't believe no mold or powdery mildew formed. I believe the colas were actually trying to grow into each other because I kind of had to manually pull that area apart. I'm aiming for a nice 10 day dry

Starting again. I keep telling myself I'm going to take a break, but I'm afraid I'd have a hard time finding good genetics during this covid time. I'm not really sure what I'm doing with this plant. I was going to try that schwazze tek, but decided to just kind of defoliate pretty heavily to allow more light penetration. Before that idea, I was going to scrog it, and now I dont have enough budsites to make the schwazze tek worth it lol. And now I'm just using the net as support. So much for thoughtful planning ha. Last harvest is still slow drying.

So my quasi experiment with flowering a plant with the canopy really close to an HID light didnt end up great. I couldn't see it until dried, but being that close to the light made the buds look larger than they were. Anyway. I'll post pics of the harvest once out of the Turkey bags. Follow the standard recommendations for light distance. They are standard for a reason lol. I also loss a lot of the terpenes due to the canopy being exposed to too much direct light and heat. But the frost is there. Plenty of frost. Done rambling. Goodnight internet
