Just happened to watch a program about las Vegas last night, they are scared that with the current decline in water levels in 4 years severe cuts will be needed and in 8 years water will be gone. A plan to move water from underground sources has been ear marked but will take at least 9 years according to the woman put in charge of the 'crisis'

It's the demand for Hoovers water that keeps it low. There are many states because of development that have increased what they take from it.

It's a demand issue more than a weather issue.

120ft lower than 1999 Jeff.
boy are you on a single track. everything is global warming. your preacher at the global warming church really has you brainwashed.

just out of curiosity, what is the purpose of the dam? could it be to make a pond? so people can USE the water? maybe the city around the dam has grown? is that a possibility? and maybe they are using water at a faster rate than the water can replace itself? maybe? or maybe....now hold your breath.... there could be a drought in a DESERT that is contributing too? maybe? can you see any of the above contributing to a MAN MADE POND in the middle of a desert being low?

the water in my toilet is lower than normal your highness of the church of global warming....yes son, its global warming...oh thank you preacher man. i almost thought i might have a leak.

Vegas, Hmmm.............. I live here. Water is uber-expensive. My monthly water bill runs from 55.00 winter-125.00+ summer. There is a huge lake under Sandy Valley, about 40 miles S/W of Vegas, enough for 50 years of water consumption at the current rate. We are also trying to negotiate with the north to steal their water, like LA did to the Bishop area, the great aquaduct. Without water, Vegas would be a ghost town.

I am only passing on information that Las vegas governor was saying. lake mead is emptying due to the shortahe of snow melt...apparently. Jeff have you ever listened to yourself... Have you ever travelled...have you ever looked at two side to any argument? I know that climate change is happening, it always has and always will...I asked you before Jeff, Do you believe there has been previous climate change? If so, what science do you believe in that proves it? After all you dont believe in dendroclimatology or isotope science do you. So climate change isnt happening. Tell that to the Spanish and the Greeks and the Bangladeshi's and the Aussie's and the Maldivians etc etc. But then you are a builder so you probably dont really get around much do you...

Where do you get your information Fox News? I tend to use Reuters, but then they use long words so best not try it Jeff!

"I am only passing on information that Las Vegas Governor was saying." Ohhh, must be true if a politician said so. If you can trust anyone, you can trust a politician.

No it was actually an enquiry, hence use of the word 'apparently'.
Jeff I have voted conservative twice and Ukip once liberal would never be an option...lol! My attitude to you Jeff is not merely as bad as yours to me, you think that trying to belittle and ridicule is fair, but in response everyone has to take your bull and behave how you think they should. That is double standards. I dont believe at any point I have name called or ridiculed anyones view that climate change isnt happening, all the way through I have just reaffirmed MY position. If everybody thought the same N.Korea would be the norm. I have come to all my conclusions based on non political, non profit organisations text and literature although I may c'n'p from elsewhere. My earlier comment regarding the politicians statement was only that, a comment. It does however beg the question as to what the politician had to gain, after all it was statement made to a British audience- before carbon tax comments are voiced!

woo, jeff seems to be a numpty and a muppet all at once at the same time yet.
i'd think you'd be better off just giving them the minimal amount of brain space possible, you try and level yourself with that sort of person you wont get anywhere...
some people have no interest in anything outside their local surroundings
